🎨 Miniature Painting Contest – Judging July 7! 🎨

Join us Tuesday, July 7, as we judge the East Kentucky Cards & Collectibles Miniature Painting Contest and crown the top painters in each category!

🏆 Categories:
• Single Miniature, Standard
• Single Miniature, Large

Whether you’ve painted a heroic knight, a fearsome dragon, a towering war machine, or something completely unique, now is your chance to show off your hobby skills.

Contest Highlights:
✔ Any game system or miniature range
✔ Conversions, kitbashes, and 3D prints welcome
✔ Scenic bases allowed
✔ Previously painted miniatures accepted
✔ Multiple entries allowed

💲 Entry Fee:
FREE if the miniature was purchased from East Kentucky Cards & Collectibles (just let the staff know)

$10 per entry for all other miniatures
Enter at the front counter of East Kentucky Cards & Collectibles any time before or on July 7.

Looking for something fun for the kids this summer? Join us every Wednesday at East Kentucky Cards & Collectibles for Summer Youth Day!

🕐 Schedule

🟡 1:00 PM – Pokémon Learn to Play

Perfect for beginners and new players!
We'll teach the game and help everyone get started.

🟢 3:00 PM – Pokémon Pinball Challenge

Come see if you can put up a high score and have some fun!

🔵 6:00 PM – Beyblade Learn to Play

Learn the basics, battle other players, and experience the excitement of Beyblade!
💥 BEST PART?

✅ Every activity is FREE to play!

Don't have cards or Beyblades? No problem! We have loaner decks and Beyblades available for kids to use, so everyone can jump in and have fun.

We also know some parents worry about bringing their child to a new event if they don't know anyone. Don't let that stop you! My 11-year-old son, Blake Johnson, will be hanging out at the shop every Wednesday this summer, and we'd love to see him make some new friends while everyone enjoys the games together.

Our goal is to introduce more kids to great hobbies, build friendships, and create a welcoming community where everyone feels included.

⚔️ Huge Thank You to Everyone Who Came Out for Wargaming Night! ⚔️

We want to thank everyone who came out tonight and spent the evening rolling dice, moving miniatures, and having a great time at the shop. Nights like these are what make our gaming community so awesome, and we appreciate every single one of you!

We could've used a good Kings of War battle between Jay Sheppard and Joe Meade to keep everyone entertained. Hopefully we'll catch you both at the shop next week and get some armies on the table! ⚔️🎲

If you've been thinking about trying Warhammer, Kings of War, or any other tabletop game, don't be shy—come hang out with us! Our community is always happy to welcome new players, whether you're a veteran general or just getting started.
