We are looking for an Assistant Head Coach who is willing to blaze his/her own path. This isn’t a live in the shadow of the Head Coach opportunity, it’s a bring your full self to the table position. Can you create an atmosphere of positive energy on deck? Well, we’re hiring! We are looking for an exceptional candidate to work with our upper age group (12-14) and our high school Senior level swimmers. The successful candidate should have 3+ years of coaching experience with a strong background in competitive swimming.
Requirements:
• USA Swimming Coach Credentials, or ability to obtain them before your first day of work
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certifications
• FBI Background Clearance
• PA Child Abuse History Certification
Desired Qualifications:
• Lifeguard Certification
• Lifeguard Instructor Certification
• ASCA Level 2 Certification
The Assistant Head Coach may be expected to assist the Head Coach with the meet entry process, meet hosting duties, staffing swim meets (no more than two weekends a month), seasonal planning. He/she may also be expected to work with the younger age groups, however this would not constitute their primary coaching duties. The Assistant Head Coach must be able to work at night (~6 pm to 9 pm), at least 3 days per week. This position reports directly to the Head Coach. Preference will be given to candidates with leadership potential, both within the club, LSC governance, and USA Swimming governance, and applicants that have demonstrate success in marketing clubs/recruiting swimmers.
