FBC Upward Sports will be offering Spring Basketball Drills for 2nd - 8th graders. It will be Co-Ed and is $20 for all 4 sessions.
Dates: 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, and 6/1
Times: 2-3 Grade 5:30
4-5 Grade 6:30
6-8 Grade 7:30

Underdog Skills Lab: Session #8 🏀🧪

School’s out, and Underdog Basketball is back with the 8th edition of our Underdog Skills Lab! Join us for this high-intensity 4-hour skills clinic on Easter Monday.

Our skills labs are designed for boys and girls in 3rd–12th grade. These skills clinics cover the essentials: ball handling, footwork, shooting, defense, conditioning, and more.

Reminder…

Saturday, March 14th is the Award Celebration.

9am: K-1 & 4-5 Basketball and Spark Cheer Squad

11am: 2-3 & 6-8 Basketball and Flame & Inferno Cheer Squads

If you are unable to attend the Celebration, then Angela will be at the church Monday, March 16th from 6pm-8pm for you to stop by for your child's award.

🏀⭐️ Please enter through main church glass doors, we will have someone inside directing you where to go.

Please NO food or drink in the Sanctuary.

A message from Upward Director Paul:

I have a couple of exciting announcements as we come to the end of another Upward season.

Saturday March 7th we will host an end of the season middle school tournament.

First Game 10:00 am Hawks @ Pacers

Second Game 11:00 am Lakers @ Grizzlies

Lunch break

Consolation Game 1:00 pm

Championship Game 2:00 pm

The other is our Upward Family Challenge.

During your final practice next week parents and other family members have been officially challenged to a basketball game against our Upward middle school teams.

Week 10 Newsletter!

It's hard to believe that it's already week 10. Two more weeks of practices.

📆Reminder that Saturday, March 7th is set for either Make-Up games (if needed) OR a Tournament for the 6-8th Grade Division.

🏆Also, remember that the Award Ceremony is set for Saturday, March 14th. Schedule will be provided soon.

🏀🧺Tricky Tray baskets are due by Friday!

📣We ask that each team put together a basket. The team with the most tickets sold will win a prize.

🎟️Tickets will be available both Saturdays, February 21st and 28th. Proceeds go towards starting next year's season.

Tricky Tray Time ⏰
On Saturday, March 14th at this year’s Awards Celebration Day, we will be giving our annual tricky tray baskets to the winners!

📣We are asking that all team moms/dads or coaches collect $5, or more, from each child to help put together a team basket to represent their team/squad. If parents could please come to the next practice and get together with the team mom or coach to plan a themed basket, that would be great! A few examples include a Crayola basket (crayons, markers, coloring books), snack basket, movie basket (candy, popcorn, soda), car care basket (soap, bucket, sponges), girls night basket (lip gloss, nail polish, etc.) or a chocolate lovers basket…just to name a few. Use your imagination and creativity, the possibilities are endless! Please NO lottery tickets, alcohol, or money baskets.

🎟️At the tricky tray, one sheet of tickets (25) will be $5. If you buy $20 worth, you will receive a 5th sheet FREE. That’s 125 tickets! Baskets will be displayed during games on Saturday Weeks 7 & 8 (2/21 & 2/28) Tickets will be available for purchase both weekends! Don’t forget to tell your family and friends who will be there to support your team/squad basket.

🧺Baskets must be brought to the Upward office at First Baptist Gym by Friday, February 20th at the latest. You can start bringing them Saturday, February 14th. Please have the basket wrapped in cellophane and the team name attached so it can be identified.

🏆The team/squad basket that has the most tickets will receive gift cards for one of the local indoor activities (Sky Zone, Dave & Busters, etc).
