M&M Skill Development Camp – Coaching Announcement

We are excited to announce the addition of Connor Leighton to the M&M Skill Development Camp staff this year.

Connor currently serves as an assistant coach at Stevenson University (NCAA Division III), bringing valuable collegiate-level coaching experience to our camp. As a player, he competed for four years at Salve Regina University (NCAA Division III), where he developed a strong foundation in the game at a high level.

Connor also has deep roots in elite youth hockey, having grown up playing AAA hockey for the Jr. Flyers organization.

We are very happy to welcome Connor to our staff and are confident he will bring energy, knowledge, and a high standard of development to our players this summer.

Steel Ice Center Announces Steel Ice Sports Academy (SISA), a Full-Day Student–Athlete Academy for Ice Hockey & Figure Skating — In Partnership with St. Luke’s Sports Performance

Bethlehem, PA — Steel Ice Center is proud to announce the launch of Steel Ice Sports Academy (SISA), a full-day academy designed to develop disciplined, resilient student-athletes through academic focus, elite training, and a holistic approach to growth.

SISA is built for families seeking a better model for the modern student-athlete experience—one that brings structure to demanding schedules and aligns academics and high-performance development under one roof. The Academy supports both ice hockey and figure skating, with a dedicated, secure classroom environment and on-site educational leadership to ensure students remain accountable, focused, and progressing.

In partnership with St. Luke’s Sports Performance, SISA integrates medically informed performance training rooted in long-term athlete development—helping athletes build strength, improve movement quality, reduce injury risk, and support sustainable growth.

Open House – March 4
Families are invited to attend the Steel Ice Sports Academy Open House to meet Academy leadership, learn how the program is structured, and explore what the full-day model can look like for their student-athlete.

🏒 M&M Skill Development Camp is BACK for Year 4! 🏒

We’re excited to announce that M&M Skill Development Camp returns this summer at the Steel Ice Center in Bethlehem from June 22–26, 2026.

Camp Details
📍 Steel Ice Center – Bethlehem, PA
📅 June 22–26, 2026
👦👧 Ages 8–16
🏒 Open to ALL skill levels

Daily Schedule Includes:
✔️ 3 hours of on-ice training
✔️ 1 hour of structured off-ice training
✔️ 30 minutes of classroom / hockey IQ work

Players will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure the best development experience possible.

Committed Coaching Staff:

John Musella Jr. – Assistant Captain, Stevenson University (NCAA D3)

Ryan Bertelsen – Head Coach, Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth 15AA; Assistant Coach, Lehigh University

Meghan Croyle – Captain, Stevenson University Women’s NCAA D3 Team

Matt Krem - Goalie Instructor- Years of experience as a player and coach with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth
