Danielle's project was sweeps from closed guard. Here is how it went.
"Very, very well, just kept spamming it. And I think honestly that's what helped the most, was just doing it and doing it."
Then we asked what she would change, and this is the part worth stealing:
"I could have the legs, I could have the lapel, I could have anything, but if I didn't get their arm, it wasn't gonna work and it didn't work."
That is a month of work compressed into one sentence. Not a new sweep. The one grip the whole thing hangs on.
How a project works at Inverted Gear Academy: one month, one project. The student picks it, from what beats them in competition, what a coach flags, or whatever frustrates them most. The task stays fixed all month. At the end they answer one question. Can they do it in live rolls now?
