Seven years ago, we lost Morgan Rodgers.
She was magnetic, compassionate, fiercely loyal, and the kind of person who made everyone around her feel seen. She was an incredible teammate, daughter, sister, and friend who loved deeply, laughed often, and left an unforgettable mark on everyone she met.
When Morgan died by su***de on July 11, 2019, we knew her story couldn’t end there.
So, one year later, Morgan’s Message was born with a simple but powerful purpose: to ensure that no student-athlete feels they have to struggle alone, to normalize conversations around mental health, and to remind athletes that asking for help is a sign of strength — not weakness.
Today, as we remember Morgan, we also celebrate the movement her life has inspired.
Her legacy lives on in every athlete who reaches out for support, every teammate who checks in, every Ambassador who starts a conversation, every coach who listens, and every community choosing compassion over silence.
Morgan always had a way of bringing people together. Seven years later, she still does.
If you knew Morgan, we’d love to hear a favorite memory of her below. If her story has impacted you, we’d love to hear that, too.
Thank you for helping us carry her legacy forward. Together, we’re building a future where every athlete knows they are never alone. 🦋
