Two days ago in Vegas, we identified an issue. Today we worked on it for 40 minutes rotating in 4-person groups thru 4 stations. In the words of the legend, “you can only fight the way you practice”. P.S. Congrats to Alyson on her A26.

Recently, I have been thinking about what makes a great fencing program. I have been fortunate to be a part of several which radically changed my life several times. How do you create one? What are the building blocks? What is the role of the coach? Lesson? Practice? Footwork? Conditioning? Tactical? Technical? Psych? Life? Mentor? What are common traits of the best of the best. Whose shoulders should we be standing on?

Looking forward to sharing my thoughts with in 2 weeks.
