In Romania, stories were never only told. They were stitched.
On the white ie blouse, each region sews its own language in thread, passed down by women through generations.

💫 Romanian folklore says a star is lit in the sky for every child born.
I chose to make the story of Ilinca personify the essence of Bravo, as it was never just about a leotard. It’s about every girl who keeps her dream lit, even when the wind blows.
Ilinca’s name means “light, a torch.” From the sprawling Carpathian Mountains to castles on the hillside, to the iconic white leotards of history, Bravo came to life.
With the help of I designed Bravo with the heart of Romania in mind: folk cross-stitch inspired by the ie, with stars, diamonds and hearts in red, gold and navy on alpine white, evergreens beneath mountain line art, and a gold bow.
