Please join us for our next trail work party day on Wednesday, August 10 from 9 AM to 2 PM. Come and meet new people who love the outdoors, spend some time outside trimming branches and helping out, and bring your friends, family or your dog if you’d like. Bring loppers or clippers if you have them, work gloves, water bottle, cold lunch and your can do attitude! We appreciate all your support and look forward to seeing you!

Our rustic off-grid cabins are available this summer and fall to book! They are also available in the winter, but many weekends are already booked so call today to make your reservation!

There's so much to do in the Western Maine mountains in the summer! Our property is located right on the Androscoggin River, the cabins are all trail-side, making it fun for you and your friends or family to walk or mountain bike around and enjoy nature! Not to mention all the surrounding mountain bike trails, hiking trails and swimming spots abound in the Bethel area! Bethel is also becoming a mecca for great restaurants and breweries! Not every adventure can have perfect weather, but we all made the best of it on Saturday. Since the threat of thunder storms had lifted, we headed for the hills to Blueberry Mountain and Stonehouse Loop to Rattlesnake Pool. The water actually felt warm in comparison to the rain we experienced at the top, but there were no complaints as the view was still incredible, the warm rain on the way up felt refreshing after this heat wave, and the yoga session before helped prepare us!

Afterwards we enjoyed massages by Marie and a nourishing Ayurvedic dinner of Kitchari, an Indian medley of lentils, rice, and local, in-season vegetables topped with ghee, cilantro, lime and coconut flakes, all aiding in balanced digestion and replenishing our energy. A truly magical day with strong women coming together to enjoy nature, yoga, and excellent food! So much appreciation for this day together!

What an amazing day for our retreat! Marie and I were so honored to have 9 fabulous ladies join us on our hiking and yoga retreat last Saturday. We held a few yoga sessions along the trail, jumped into a cold mountain pool, met some more wonderful women doing a photo shoot for their flower growing business

Marie was unexpectedly given the bouquet of flowers so we hiked out with them. Back at Carter’s Lodge Marie began massage sessions while the rest of us relaxed and feasted on appetizers followed by a nourishing Ayurvedic dinner.

What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday! ✨💕💕✨

Marie and I did our homework today on this beautiful birth-day celebration for Marie! We hiked our route for our upcoming retreat, did some yoga along the way, jumped in Rattlesnake Pool, saw a little snake in some mud and found some chicken in the woods mushrooms! What an incredible day! Looking forward to next weekend! Also there’s still some spots available for our August 14th Women’s hiking and yoga and massage retreat!
