Just across the border in Pittsburgh from my Akron Ohio area TT days. these 3 brothers won most of the Ohio tournaments for many years. My only Men's Singles title was a Canton Tournament just before I moved to Connecticut when none of the Seemiller brothers showed up that weekend.

Great night at our new Prospect Table Tennis Club this last Tuesday in June. We had 10 enthusiastic Players including 3 first time club players 3 intermediate players, and 4 expert level players. While we had only committed to an 8 week Spring trial for this new club location, based on player appreciation for this excellent facility and momentum towards growth in participation, we have decided to continue into the summer as long as this continues, with our next open meeting on Tuesday July 5th.

A new reason to have pride in my hometown; It is hosting my Connecticut Table Tennis (aka 'Ping-Pong') for a new Prospect TT Club at the Community Center Gym, weekly on Tuesday, starting tonight at 6pm, until at least 9pm. Cost to participate is $10 for town residents, $12 for all others, per evening. As with my club in Bethany, we will have 6 or 7 Professional Tables to be shared with Beginners, intermediates and some expert players. Rackets are available to borrow and playing 'pointers' , from myself, a former state Champion and regional USATT coach are also included in the nightly fee. Thanks to the Parks and Recreation Staff and Board for this opportunity to share this fun, health improving lifetime recreational sport in our state's best little town

We missed a handful of our weekly regulars last Friday, perhaps due to the 3 day weekend. Some of you may have left early for an extended weekend trip.
