Larry Kristoff built a legacy as both an elite heavyweight and one of wrestling's greatest coaches. A 2-time Olympian, 12-time U.S. National Champion, and 5-time World medalist, he later spent 30 years leading SIUE, guiding the Cougars to three consecutive NCAA Division II team titles while coaching 18 national champions and 122 NCAA All-Americans. His extraordinary impact on American wrestling earned him induction into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member.
