Yesterday, The Studio celebrated its 6th Annual Recital!! These kids are simply AMAZING! I can’t express enough how proud I am of every dancer out there!

There may have been a series of unfortunate events, including a guest appearance by a lizard trying to find his perfect time to shine - and the air may have been MIA for most of it - but nothing could take away from the hard work and dedication that those dancers took to the stage 🤩🤩

The Studio also graduated 3 seniors! I hope it was an unforgettable recital, ladies 🩷

It isn’t easy to step on that stage, but once you do, it’s hard to step off 🩷

I hope everyone joins me again in the summer or fall 💃💃💃

Hello! My name is Adeline Downing. I graduated from Metro East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville, IL and I am currently undecided on where I will be attending college. I hope to study clinical psychology to one day help adolescents wherever they may need it. The Studio and everyone in it has been a very big part of my life for the past ten years. I can’t thank my dance family enough for all of the love, support, and good memories that I received during my time here. Along with my studio dance, I was a part of the Dancer Knights dance team at Metro my junior and senior years. Dance will forever be in my heart and I am so happy about the person I have become because of it. I am so excited to start my career and i can’t wait to see what my future holds!

AVA FASSLER

Hello! My name is Ava Fassler and I have been dancing for 10+ years at The Studio. I just graduated from Civic Memorial High School and I have been on my school's dance team for 7 years! Our dance team season has come to an end but I am extremely happy with the outcome for our season this year. We placed in the top 15 at IHSA State and we also placed 4th at IDTA state. At one of the IDTA competitions my junior year I also received a rising star award. I also have received MVP this year which I am super grateful for and I couldn’t thank my coaches enough. During my time at the studio I have learned so many things and gained many friendships that I will cherish forever. I couldn’t thank Kat and my dance family enough for being so supportive throughout all the years. I will miss all of the late night dance practices and of course our dance teachers saying to do the dance one more time even though we all know it definitely won't be our last time, all the laughter, friendships, long choreography days, and all the other dance teachers that have taught me. This is definitely a bittersweet feeling but I am so excited to see what the future holds for me. Although I am not dancing in college, I plan to get my minor in dance and join a club for college students in St. Louis to keep dance in my life. I will be attending Lewis and Clark Community College to major in Nursing and Minor in Spanish! Starting June 8th, 2026 I will be working as a patient care tech in the Med Surg ICU at Mercy hospital to not only get a head start on my nursing career but also get all of my schooling paid for by the hospital. Once I am done at Lewis and Clark, I will transfer to SIUE and get my Bachelors in Nursing and work my way up to get my doctorate.

AVA BACON🩷

Hi everyone! My name is Ava, and I’m so excited to be a senior this year! Dance has been such an important part of my life since I was 3 years old, and it has helped shape the person I am today. Through dance, I’ve learned discipline, confidence, and a strong work ethic that I know will carry with me into my future. After graduation, I plan to attend McKendree University, where I will continue dancing while majoring in Accounting and double minoring in Spanish and Finance. My goal is to become a a Financial Advisor or Accountant. I also hope to continue teaching dance and staying involved in the dance community wherever life takes me. I’m so grateful for everything this studio has given me, and I’m excited to see what the future holds! 🩰
