Announcing the Eagle Nation Community Box Food & Essentials Donation Drive 💜💛

We are incredibly excited to share this initiative with our community. In partnership with Civic Memorial High School, the Jr. Eagles Basketball Club is helping launch the Eagle Nation Community Box, a “give what you can, take what you need” resource right here in Bethalto.

A special thank you and shout out to Principal Newell for helping make this possible and for partnering with us to bring this vision to life. We are also grateful to Mr. Cichlar’s class, who will be building the box, and the Art Club, who will be painting it. This truly is a community effort from start to finish.

Donations of non-perishable food items and hygiene essentials will be collected during Metro League Basketball games on Saturdays at the CM Aux Gym. As a thank you, anyone who donates an item will receive $1 off admission to the games.

Even if you are not planning to stay and watch a game, we will still gladly accept donations during these times and are extremely thankful for any support. But if you do stop by, you might as well stay and enjoy watching some of the area’s youth programs competing on the court 🏀

Until the Community Box is completed and installed, all donated items will be delivered to the Blessing Box on Highway 140 in Bethalto so they can immediately benefit local families.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our athletes, our schools, and our community!

The Bethalto Trimpe seventh-grade girls basketball team beat previously unbeaten Washington Central to win a IESA Class 4A state championship on Thursday in Morton.

UPDATED ETA: 11:22!
Please join us in welcoming back the IESA seventh grade girls basketball state champions. They are expected to arrive in town around 11:15 and will be es**rted by police along Moreland Road, turning at Parkside, and proceeding to Trimpe. Fans are welcome to park along the route and celebrate the team's achievement by honking and cheering!

The STATE CHAMPS got snowed in last night in Morton and are headed back to Bethalto! We’ll be getting a police es**rt into town in about 2ish hours. We will meet the police at church of god, go by Parkside, go in front of the village hall and then to Trimpe!

BETHALTO TRIMPE = STATE CHAMPS
At the IESA Class 4A 7th Grade State Championship Game, Bethalto Trimpe dominated Washington Central 39-14 to win the State Title in Class 4A. Trimpe was led in scoring by Peyton Earle with 15 points, while Chloe Mills was also in double figures with 10 points. As a team, they were a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

The 7th grade Trimpe girls finish the season at 29-1, while Washington Central suffered their first loss of the season and finished at 25-1. The State Championship Game was played at Morton. Congratulations to the players and coaches on an amazing season.

For those of you who are not aware, the IESA (Illinois Elementary School Association) is separate from the SIJHSAA (Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association). All Schools in Illinois have the option of membership and participation in the Athletic Association of their choice.
