TIKTOK DANCE PARTY!! 4-Week Dance Intensive | Ages 7+

See it on TikTok. Learn it in class. Dance it yourself!

In this high-energy four-week intensive, dancers will learn the actual trending choreography making its way across TikTok right now! Each week we'll tackle popular TikTok dances, breaking down the choreography step by step and putting it all together with music.

Dancers will build coordination, musicality, confidence and performance skills while learning the moves they already know from their feeds—or discovering the next dance they can't wait to show their friends.

For our finale, we'll choose a favorite routine, polish it up and film our own TikTok dance video!

Calling all little rebels—it's time to dance!

Inspired by the music, characters and magical world of Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, young dancers will step into a high-energy adventure filled with dance, imagination and plenty of mischievous fun!

Each week, dancers will learn exciting, age-appropriate choreography while building coordination, musicality, confidence and performance skills. With favorite music, larger-than-life characters and lots of personality, this four-week intensive is perfect for kids who love to dance, pretend and perform! Showcase for parents the last class!

4-Week Parent & Tot Tumbling | Ages 18–36 Months

Is your energetic toddler climbing, bouncing, rolling and turning everything into an obstacle course? Tumble With Me! gives them a safe, playful place to put all that energy to good use!

Together with their grown-up, little ones will jump on the trampoline, practice beginning tumbling skills, explore being upside down, crawl and climb through obstacle courses, and play movement games designed just for their developing bodies. Along the way, they’ll build balance, coordination, strength, body awareness and confidence—all while having a great time with you!

Youth Dance Theater of Greater Chicago Awarded $12,000 Illinois Arts Council Grant

BERWYN, IL — September 1, 2026 — Our resident dance company, The Youth Dance Theater of Greater Chicago (YDTGC) is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $12,000 grant from the Illinois Arts Council through its Creative Projects 2027 program — the maximum award available.

The grant will support the creation and production of What the River Remembers, YDTGC’s original dance-theater work inspired by Scritch Scratch, the acclaimed middle-grade novel by Illinois author Lindsay Currie.

Planned for spring 2027, What the River Remembers will bring together dance, theater, literature, and Chicago history to explore the story of the SS Eastland disaster of 1915. Young dancers will have the opportunity not only to perform an original theatrical work, but also to connect with the history and literature behind it.

“We are incredibly honored to receive this support from the Illinois Arts Council,” said Margo Ruark, Artistic Director of YDTGC. “Receiving the maximum award is an extraordinary vote of confidence in this project and in our young artists. We can’t wait to bring What the River Remembers to the stage.”

The $12,000 award will help fund choreography, rehearsals, production, and the public presentation of the work. Performance details will be announced soon.
