Race day recap
Tyler won the heat race, which had him starting 11th for the 40 lap feature. Tyler worked up to 4th before a red flag came out. He got stuck on the outside lane for awhile dropping back a few spots, car got loose towards the end and he was able to hold on and finish 10th, all in all was a good day and Tyler did a great job for a top 10 finish.
Of course none of this would be possible without the help and support from our great sponsors.

Racing Update:
First race of the year didn’t go as well as we hoped. Chasing a skip in the motor in the first 2 practices. Went out for the heat race, still having the skip ended up hopping wheels and got in the air, ended up braking a few parts on RF. Didn’t make it out for the feature. Busy week getting parts and having the rear end fixed.

RACE 2:
Finally fixed the electrical issue with motor in first practice. Had decent speed in final practice. Tyler was happy with the car, made a few small changes for the feature. No heat races due to the Open Modifieds. Had to start 31 out of 34 cars due to missing previous feature. Tyler did a great job avoiding a few wrecks ,and working his way through traffic to finish 15th. He was fast , had fastest lap of the feature, Just to much traffic to get through in 20 laps. Hopefully we can carry that into this weeks 40 lapper.
Special thank you to Spafco Race Chassis and Parts for the support and always getting/ fixing/making everything we need to make to the track every week.

We would like to Thank our sponsors for making this possible

Tyler’s 2022 Stafford Speedway rookie year has come to a end. The year had its ups and downs, but all in all was a good rookie yr and gained a lot of experience. Tyler finished 12th in points (out of 51 drivers listed) and came in second for R.O.Y honors ( out of 16 drivers listed). Tyler ran 18 of the 19 races, he got caught up in a wreck which took the follow week to get the car back together and had a flat during another. Out of the 16 races he finished (16 top 20s), (3 top 15), (7 top 10), (3 top 5), and 1 win with a car avg around 28-30 every week. Our season would have ended a lot earlier if wasn’t for the support of our sponsors. We would like to thank each and everyone of you for the support, Uncle Dave and Auntie Paula Alkas, JMB Plumbing, Doug & Chris Rose, T&T Landscaping, Ferndale Construction, ACCULIFT INC
Avery Soda, B&C Powder Coat, Spafco Race Chassis and Parts. Thank you to all the fans, old and new for the support. Tyler did it, he parked the Alkas Motorsports #89 Sk Light Spafco modified in victory lane. He started 3rd in his heat race and ended up winning the heat. Then started 4th in the feature and took the lead on lap 3 were he ended up finishing. His first ever win in a Sk light. He ended up with heat exhaustion after the race, and ended up in the ambulance and er. After getting fluids and cooling off he was doing much better. Thank you to everyone for reaching out and to the staff at Stafford Motor Speedway and EMTs for helping him and everyone else who helped out. Unfortunately due to a wreck from last week, we will not be racing tonight at Stafford Motor Speedway. We had a few issues that came up last minute and didnt want to take a chance. Car is close and will be ready for the 40 lapper next week. THANK YOU Spafco Race Chassis and Parts, for a super fast turnaround on the car, we dropped the car off at the end of the day and was back 1pm the next day picking up the car from getting a fresh front clip and had every replacement part we needed in stock. As always top notch work. THANK YOU to all our sponsors Acculift Inc, Doug & Chris Rose, JMB plumbing, T&T complete landscaping, Ferndale Construction, and B&G powdercoat, and Uncle Dave and Auntie Paula Alkas who have been a huge help this year. It's tough being a small, low funded team so it means the world to us for the support. We would also like to thank John and Anthony Bello ( Bello Motorsports) for the help getting the trailer to the track. July 8 is the 40 lapper for the SK Lights at Stafford Speedway, if you have no plans head on out and support the Alkas Motorsports #89 driven by Tyler Alkas. First race of rookie season at Stafford Speedway in the books. After missing the open practice due to a motor issue, the sizzler was first time Tyler and the car were on the track. Heat race Tyler started 8th, got to the front, leading 5 laps and ended up finishing 2nd by 0.069. He qualified for the feature starting 16th. Car ended up extremely loose, ended up spinning off of turn 4. Kept the car out of danger and kept it going. Caution came out a few laps later and worked his way from 25th to a 18th place finish. The tire stagger came in way off, which made the car a handful to drive. Tyler got important seat time and kept the car in one piece. We would like to thank all of Tyler's friends and family who came out to support him, Fred Alkas (Papa) and Steven Scheyd for there help in the pits. A special thank you to Uncle Dave and Aunt Paula, ACCULIFT INC, Ferndale Construction (Jason Nogiec), B&C powder coating, Avery's Soda. Also like to thank Kenny Barry and the Spafco Race Chassis and Parts team, always there for any of your racing needs. Next race is Friday May 6th @ Stafford Speedway hope to see you all there.

Haven't posted anything in a while, been busy getting our #89 Spafco Race Chassis Sklight modified ready to be driven by Tyler Alkas for the 2021 race season. Tyler is making the jump from a bandolero (23HP) to the Sklight around (350HP). Saturday was Tyler's first race and 3rd time ever driving the car. In his heat race Tyler started 5th out of 8, he got up to 4th and on a restart dropped back to 5th (never using a clutch before ) finished in 5th. Started 10th in the feature and was running midpack ended up with a little damage ending his day. Tyler did a amazing job for having such little seat time and experience in a big car. Still alot to learn , but very excited to see what he can do over time. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support Tyler and stoped by to say hi. Thanks Ducky for the support, pics and videos.
Special thanks to Tyler Barry for spotting, Ken Barry always there to help, Anthony Bello and John Bello thanks for the pep talk and tips, easing Tylers nerves. Fred Alkas(papa) Kathy Alkas(grama) for the new tires. Chris Bagnall (Uncle Chris) for the help and always being there to support Tyler.

Huge Thank you to:
Alkas Motorsports, Spafco Race Chassis,
JB Management, Acculift Inc, Tick Mike
