We’d like to welcome Brennan to the Paragon squad! brennan_lazich is from Middletown, CT and graduated from MHS where he played soccer and ran track. Brennan is currently the assistant Boy’s Indoor/Outdoor Track coach at Middletown high, and is perusing his degree in Exercise Science at CCSU.

Say hi to Brennan next time you’re in the facility, we’re excited to have him here this fall!

Thank you to all the amazing members who have made this community so special, and who continue to show what Paragon is all about! Your continued support and trust in us is truly appreciated and we would not be here without you. First step explosiveness can be a game changer for many athletes, making a big difference in one’s ability to get going as fast as possible. Here are two exercises we like to utilize to train that first step:

1). Sled Lunge Pass
2). Med Ball Chase

Both exercises require the athlete to focus on pushing through the front foot to extend the leg as hard and fast as possible. Adding the resistance of the sled and med ball allow us to strengthen that movement, producing more force through that first step.
