Nyack Warriors Golf

The Warriors finished their third tournament for the semester at the Charger Challenge in third position. First day challenged by rain the team finished with a total of 316 sitting just 4 shots behind Concordia best scores Tom Holmes 72 and Elliot Wakefield 75. Second day saw calm conditions which led to better scoring, 4 of the 5 players improved on their first round totals team coming in with 302, but falling 14 shots behind Concordia . Elliot Wakefield put down the teams first under par round of the season with a nice round of 71 putting him just one shot out of individual honours, Tom Holmes shot a second round 75 to finish one shot further back in 4th. The team will look to improve with their next tournament on Tuesday at Philly U's Tournament

With the latest Golfstat rankings in the warriors have moved up to 112 in the nation, up over 50 spots from last year, a good start for the boys but more work to do

The team competed in the Quechee Collegiate Challenge on Sep. 19-20.
First round team shot a total of 307 putting them in 6th position. Thomas Holmes led the team on day one with a 73
On the tougher Highland golf course, the team returned another 307 giving them a a 614 total moving up to 5th position. Captain Elliot Wakefield led scoring on day 2 with an impressive 72. Honourable mention to freshman Aaron Walzak coming in with a 75.

Next tournament is Charger Challenge Sep. 30 and Oct. 1
