Being afraid to start is very real.

Before joining semi-private personal training at Grizzly Fitness, Abby said she was tired of feeling like crap and not feeling like the active, outdoorsy, able-bodied person she knew she wanted to be.

But starting was intimidating.

“I was nervous about feeling like I can’t do it. Like it was going to be too hard and I wouldn’t keep coming.”

What made the difference?

Accountability, coaching, and simply having people expecting her to show up.

“The hardest part of starting this is holding yourself accountable. I don’t think I would still be going to the gym if it weren’t for the fact that someone is expecting me there and is wanting me there.”

Now Abby is feeling stronger, standing taller, gaining confidence, and even noticing those “farm girl muscles” coming back. 💪

But the accomplishment she’s most proud of?

“Literally just sticking with it this long. I have never worked out this much. It has NOT been perfect, but I get the whole consistency over perfection thing now.”

That’s exactly what semi-private personal training is about.

You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to already be in shape.
You don’t have to know what you’re doing.

You just have to start.

We’ll give you the plan, coaching, accountability, and a group of people supporting you along the way.

Does Abby’s story sound like you?

Message us today and let’s talk about getting you started with semi-private personal training at Grizzly Fitness.

47 people messaged me for 5 spots.

I was not ready for that.

A few weeks ago, I asked Berlin for five volunteers to help us test a strength-training program built for adults 40+. I thought I might get a handful of messages. Instead, I got 47.

The hardest part was knowing I could only choose five.

But I want to tell you about one of them.

Stacy came in nervous. When she heard “personal training,” she pictured someone yelling at her like you see on TV. She worried everyone else would be more experienced.

But once she walked through the doors, that fear started to disappear.

She told us she immediately felt comfortable, supported, and never judged. She could work at her own level while still feeling challenged and included. Four weeks later, she said:

“Once I got here, I wondered why I had been so nervous.”

She also told us:

“Walking into Grizzly gives you a complete mindset change. It gives you positivity for your entire day.”

That is the part I cannot stop thinking about. Because this program was never meant to be only about lifting weights. It is about helping people feel stronger, happier, more confident, and more like themselves again.

Stacy said:

“I want to find the old Stacy again. I’d kind of lost that healthier, motivated version of myself.”

After four weeks, she felt like she was finding her. She wanted to get outside more. She was less winded. She felt happier, more motivated, and more present with her kids.

She told us the program exceeded her expectations, and when we asked her to rate the coaches from one to ten, she said:

“Eleven.”

Most people from that first volunteer group is still training with us. So we went back and made room. We are opening five more spots.

That is what I can coach properly, and I will not say yes to more people than I can truly support.

Here is the deal:

Four weeks of coached strength training

Train two to three times per week

Complete your scans and give honest feedback

Normally $396 — free for these five

This is not a boot camp.

It is not endless cardio or someone yelling at you.

It is structured, coach-led strength training built for adults 40+.

You do not need to be in shape before you start.

That is the entire point.

And if you are thinking you would be the least experienced person in the room, Stacy thought that too. If you messaged me last time and I could not fit you in, stay close. I have not forgotten about you.

If you are new here and serious, fill out the form here... https://gym.fitnessgrizzly.com/musclerescue - Then I will personally message you the details.

I am choosing the five volunteers this weekend to start next week.

Five spots.

“I was always afraid of hurting myself and not doing the proper lifting.”

That’s what Tammy said when talking about why semi-private personal training at Grizzly Fitness has helped her so much.

For years, Tammy dealt with back problems that started after a car accident in the 80s. She tried things like aerobics, yoga, and going to the gym on her own, but eventually her back got worse again.

“I was finding that the older I’m getting, that I’m just not strengthening anything. I was just really weak. And I was like, it was just enough of that. I was done. I can be better than that as I’m getting older.”

That’s where semi-private personal training changed things.

“With the classes and the coaching behind it all, it’s amazing because I can lift heavy and I’m building strength safely. My back is feeling much better.”

Tammy said the structure, coaching, and support made all the difference.

“The sessions are structured and someone’s always there watching you to do the exercises. For me, that is beneficial.”

Now Tammy is lifting with more confidence, building strength safely, and hitting new milestones, including a **5-minute plank** after working her way back from a broken wrist.

“There were so many wins along the way.”

That’s what semi-private training at Grizzly Fitness is all about.

Coaching.
Structure.
Support.
Accountability.
Learning how to lift safely.
Building strength in a way that makes sense for your body.

If old injuries, back pain, weakness, or fear of getting hurt has kept you from strength training, you do not have to figure it out alone.

“What would you say to someone in their 60s or 70s who thinks it’s too late to start strength training?”

The Golden Grizzlies had a simple answer:

“It’s never too late.”

Patti said, “Even if you start with two-pound weights or three-pound weights, you gotta start somewhere and you gotta do it to keep strong. Otherwise, you get to the point where you can't do anything because your muscles atrophy.”

That line says a lot.

At some point, many people start to believe that losing strength, losing balance, needing more help, or giving up the things they enjoy is just part of getting older.

But the Golden Grizzlies are living proof that it does not have to be that way.

They show up to the gym three days a week.
They lift heavier than they ever thought they could.
They are building better balance, more strength, more stamina, and more confidence.
And they are proving that your age does not mean your best days are behind you.

This is what Grizzly Fitness is all about.

Helping people get stronger so they can keep living life.

Our semi-private personal training program gives you coaching, accountability, support, and a small-group environment where you do not have to figure it out alone.

Our Grizzly Fitness leadership team Kimber, Colton, Garrett, and Gavino just returned from the Growth Summit in Scottsdale Arizona! We spent three days learning from top minds like Tim Grover, Scott Carpenter, Thomas Plummer, and many others!
We dove into leadership, operational systems, and culture. We’re excited to refine how we serve you by applying what we’ve learned, both on the floor and behind the scenes!

Before starting at Grizzly Fitness, Heidi said one everyday task showed her how much strength she had lost.

“I’ve got 12 steps that go to the basement and I do my laundry. Before I started at Grizzly, it was put the basket on one step, take a step, put the basket on the next step, take a step. That way all the way up.”

Now?

“Now I can pick that basket up full and just run ’em right up the steps and not have a problem.”

That is what strength training is really about.

It’s not just about lifting weights in the gym.

It’s about carrying your laundry.
Doing yard work.
Going up and down stairs.
Keeping your balance.
Getting off the floor.
Staying independent.

Heidi also said, “I notice that when I’m doing yard work too. I’ve got much more stamina and strength, so I can notice it in just daily life.”

And the results aren’t just something she feels in the gym.

“My oncologist says to keep doing what I’m doing because it’s working. The strength and results are real.”

On top of that, Heidi currently holds the Grizzly record for plank with an incredible 5 minutes and 46 seconds!

Her advice now?

“I wish I would have started sooner!”

This is why semi-private personal training at Grizzly Fitness is so powerful for adults in their 60s, 70s, and beyond.

You don’t have to be “in shape” to start.

You just have to start.

Our coaches meet you where you are, help you build safely, and keep you progressing little by little.

🚨 Important Facility Reminder 🚨

Last night, two individuals entered our gym without checking in through our access system. At this time, we are unsure who these individuals are or whether they have active memberships.

If these individuals ARE members, please reach out to us directly. All members are required to swipe in every time they enter the facility. If you ever forget your key fob or need assistance accessing the gym, we expect clear and honest communication with our staff so we know who is entering the building and can keep accurate records for the safety of all members.

If these individuals are NOT members, we would appreciate the opportunity to speak with them and get them set up properly with a membership, day pass, and liability waiver. Our goal is not to punish anyone—we simply ask that everyone use the facility the right way and contribute fairly to the community that we have all worked hard to build.

If you know who these individuals are, please send us a private message. We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to connect with them directly.

This is also a friendly reminder to all members: please do not allow unauthorized guests into the facility or share access with others. Our gym is a 24/7 facility, and the safety and security of our members depends on everyone following the rules. Members who knowingly allow unauthorized access may be subject to additional fees or disciplinary action.

We take these situations seriously—not to be difficult, but because protecting our members, maintaining a safe environment, and preserving the integrity of the facility is our responsibility.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Grizzly Fitness, follow the rules, and help us maintain the culture that makes this community special. 💪🐻

If you are one of the individuals pictured, please contact us directly. We would much rather have a respectful conversation and help you get set up correctly moving forward.

“I’m 75. I could care less about fitting into a bikini. I want to be strong.”

That’s what Linda said when talking about why she started semi-private personal training at Grizzly Fitness.

She told us that when she first started, she couldn’t lay on her back and pull herself up into a sit-up. Now, she’s doing 25-pound plated sit-ups. She also said she used to have to ask her husband to carry softener salt bags, but now she can carry one herself with no problem.

Her words say it best:

“I’m not gonna be that weak little grandma. I can do this.”

This is exactly why we do what we do at Grizzly Fitness.

Our semi-private personal training program is built for people who want to get stronger, move better, stay independent, and feel more confident in everyday life — no matter their age or starting point.

If you’re in your 60s, 70s, or even 80s and you’ve been thinking, “I’m too old to start,” Linda would tell you otherwise.

It’s never too late to get stronger.

Semi-private personal training at Grizzly Fitness is small group training with coaching, accountability, and support every step of the way.
