🚨VOLUNTEER NOTICE: PARKING & CONCESSIONS!

Baseball season is here! That means more vehicle traffic at the Rezendes Complex on Saturday mornings.

Please carpool whenever possible and bring as few vehicles to the complex as you can. Every available parking spot counts!

🚫 STREET PARKING IS COMPLETELY PROHIBITED — NO EXCEPTIONS.

🙋‍♀️ WE NEED 2 PARKING VOLUNTEERS!

We’re seeking two volunteers to help direct parking at the Rezendes Complex this Saturday morning during soccer.
If you can lend a hand, please let us know what times you’re available between 7:45-9:00am . Your help will be MUCH appreciated!

🍿🥤 CONCESSIONS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Our Concessions Director, Amanda, is working on the concessions volunteer schedule based on the volunteer dates everyone selected during registration. Please keep an eye out for her emails and respond when needed.

And remember…our concession stand only stays open when our BAA families support it! So instead of that trip to the convenience store, grab your game-day fuel right at the BAA concession stand!

⚽ Soccer Opening Weekend
As we approach soccer opening weekend, we wanted to share a few updates and reminders with everyone.

📅 Schedule
At this point, everyone should have received the game schedule via email, and it is also available in the GameChanger app. If you are unable to access your team in GameChanger, please ask your coach to make sure they have added the team first.

🔔 Important Schedule Update
A revised game schedule will be emailed to everyone shortly. This update only impacts a few Pre-K/K division games and one Grade 1-2 game.

💻 Parent Information Night
We will be hosting a Zoom call on Tuesday evening to go over everything you’ll need to know for the upcoming season. We hope you can join us!

🙋 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🌱
Some of us will be at the Rezendes Complex this Saturday morning doing field line painting and landscaping cleanup. If you’re interested in helping, please contact us! We could definitely use some extra hands and truly appreciate any support. 💪

We’re also looking for donations of food and beverages for our concession stand. We are currently in need of:

⚽ Berkley Fall Rec Soccer Update! ⚽

📝 Registration for our Fall Rec Soccer Season has officially closed, and we're putting the finishing touches on team rosters!

📣 Coaches will receive their rosters over the coming days and will begin reaching out to families with practice information. We're currently planning for Opening Day on Saturday, August 29. The full game schedule will be shared within the next week or so.

🙏 Berkley Youth Soccer wants to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped spread the word about our program. Because of the incredible support from our community, we've reached a record-breaking 270 registrations for this Fall Season!

📈 Over the past 3 years, we've seen tremendous year-over-year growth, and that's a direct reflection of the amazing families, volunteers, coaches, and players who continue to believe in what we're building. It's exciting to see so many kids enjoying the beautiful game right here in Berkley.

🎉 We're looking forward to another fantastic season and can't wait to see everyone out on the pitch! ⚽

Our first ever Rec Soccer Player Evaluation Day was a success! The kids had fun, the coaches learned a lot, and the weather was perfect! Thank you to all who helped make it happen.

📣 IMPORTANT: Fall Rec Soccer Player Evaluation Details

Our Player Evaluation Day for Grades 3–8 is coming up! Please review the important details below so your player is ready to go.

📅 Sunday, July 26
📍 Berkley Middle School
⏰ Evaluations: 9:00–11:00 AM
✅ Please arrive at 8:30 AM for check-in

What to Bring:
• Soccer Ball
Grades 3–4: Size 4
Grades 5–8: Size 5
• Shin guards — required for all players
• Athletic clothing
• Athletic footwear — soccer cleats are preferred; metal studs are not permitted
• Water or sports drink
• A positive attitude!

Players will participate in a variety of skill-based activities and game-like scrimmages, giving our coaches an opportunity to get a well-rounded understanding of each player’s current abilities and experience level.

❗ REMINDER: THIS IS NOT A TRYOUT!

Every player who registers for Fall Rec Soccer will be placed on a team and will receive equal playing opportunities.

The purpose of evaluations is simply to help us create fair and balanced teams and place each player in an environment where they have the best opportunity to have fun, build confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy the game of soccer.
