Last night our Varsity boys won big as they hit the road, heading to SB again. We came home with an 82-41 victory, and two player milestones!

Carson Case scored his 1,000th career point, becoming the 11th player in our school’s history to do so on the boys’ side. His 1,000th point was a 3-pointer in transition, with an assist from fellow senior Rowan Zickert.

Rowan also had a big night’s he broke our school’s single season record for steals by posting a 17 point, 10 steal double-double. The previous record of 98 steals, set by Jaxon Childers in 2021-22, was eclipsed by Rowan as he now sits at 99 steals with several games still to go!

Congrats to Rowan and Carson on their achievements, they earned them with countless hours of hard work.

We have a busy weekend upcoming here at Benzie Central as we host our annual Will Lynch Invitational Tournament and welcome teams from Charlevoix, North Muskegon, and Walled Lake Western for our JV and Varsity tournament!

We are also hosting Kingsley, and the TC Bulldogs as they compete is some sub-varsity showcase games.

Our girls program will be scrimmaging one-another in their Red & White game as part of the action, too!

And lastly, there will be a fundraiser spaghetti dinner in the cafeteria on Friday night for a student trip to Washington, DC next schoolyear.

Some come on out, eat some spaghetti, and watch some great basketball games right here at Benzie Central.
