We are looking for varsity athletes interested in umpiring this season! This is a great way to stay involved in the game, give back to younger players, and get paid ($45/game). You are paid on the spot before the game starts!

Deadline to sign up: May 15
After that date, we will move forward with hiring outside officials.

⚾ Levels needing umpires:
* Boys Minors
* Girls Middles
* Boys & Girls Coach Pitch Tournament

We’d love to keep this opportunity with our student athletes, but we need commitments before May 15 to make it happen.

I wanted to share an update on Benzie County Youth League numbers for Benzonia (this does not include teams registering with Leelanau).

Right now we have:
12 T-ball players
20 girls coach pitch players
20 boys coach pitch players
14 Colts boys players

Based on these numbers, we will be forming:
1 T-ball team
2 girls coach pitch teams
2 boys coach pitch teams
1 Colts boys team

We’re excited to get these teams out on the field and appreciate the continued support from our community!

I will be in contact with coaches next week. In the meantime, if a coach or community member needs to reach me, the best way is by text. I am extremely busy with life and coaching my oldest daughter’s middle school softball team and am not monitoring social media regularly.
