ARWC 2026 Corsica is about an entire island beating to the same rhythm.

And the Cité Scolaire de Corte has chosen to embrace the event wholeheartedly.

They are not just spectators of the World Championship; they are making it their own, transforming it into a major collective adventure and a defining moment for the region’s young people. ❤️‍🔥

From the Parade of Nations to the Prologue, and through to the Opening Ceremony, every student will step out of the classroom and onto the world stage. The school’s cadets, young men and women preparing for careers in the armed forces, the gendarmerie and the emergency services, will also bring their commitment to the heart of the organisation. 💪

Together, they will guide us through their town and up to their iconic citadel, known as the “Eagle’s Nest”. They will share with us the very essence of Corsica: its heritage, its music and its language.

This is more than a partnership. It is a transmission, a passing of the torch between generations. The young people of Corte are ready to show the world what Corsican pride and community spirit truly mean. 💫

Portrait 3 - Team Leaping Fish 🇬🇧

After a monumental 84-hour duel to win ITERA 2025, Leaping Fish punched their ticket straight to the ARWC 2026. 🎟️

Led by Nick Gracie, one of the original ARWS Hall of Fame members, this high-performance machine is built on cold tactical lucidity. Alongside him, will be national orienteers on bike and foot, Clare Dallimore and Tom Davies, and Dutch ultra-runner Wouter Huitzing, to form a squad that never panics and thrives on water and pedals. 🌊⚙️

Racing with Team Beacon, Adam has a lot to say about five days in the Atlas Mountains — the terrain, the race design, the decisions that cost them, and the moments that made it worth every dirham.

Race director Antonio de la Rosa leaves his signature on everything he touches. Bimbache was no different. Adam unpacks what that means for teams on the ground, what the AR community should know before they sign up, and why this race is already being discussed in the same breath as a world championship.

Adam and Brian dig into the gap between what a stage looks like on paper and what it demands in practice — and what happens to a team’s decision-making when sleep debt starts compounding across multiple days. Spoiler: it doesn’t go well. It makes for great podcast listening though.
