Tubing Downriver

Tubing Downriver Spend some "down" time floating down the river on a tube. River rocks can be sharp so wear your old tennies or buy water shoes for $16. We have some.

Our tube float takes you three miles down the Shenandoah River. You will float along at about 1 mile per hour. You can take along a picnic and some water to drink when you throw your cooler on on of our cooler floats. The river bottom is rocky and uneven, so foot protection is a must. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and water and enjoy 3 or more hours at the pace of an ancient river. Please do not bring g

lass containers. Save the alcohol for after your trip. It is illegal in Virginia to have an open container of alcohol in public. Even though it seems like "the wilderness" out here, it is public, and you can be ticketed for open containers AND being drunk in public. Our last tube run is at 3:00pm on weekends, 2:00pm Mon thru Friday.

Our typical summer weather pattern is upon us. These hot and humid days will tend to bring thunderstorms in the afternoon, so try to get an early start!

Please please wear sturdy river shoes. The river is low, we really need rain, and the rocks are SHARP and SLIPPERY. These beautiful sunny days are wonderful out on the river, but leave the alcohol back at camp for later.

Well, tubing has come to a close for 2019. See you in the Spring. We are open until 10/31/19 for canoes, kayaks, and rafts.
