New Covenant Christian Academy (KY) Lions

New Covenant returns to the Hoopfest again this year. The Lions are annually one of the best teams in the state, competing in the Kentucky Christian Schools Athletic Association.

The Lions won 66-44 in their first-ever Hoopfest game last year, defeating Crittenden County. Head Coach Joey Adair looks to continue the Lions’ success this year.

Coming off their first 20-win season since 2019-20, the Cougars will look to contend in the always challenging 4th Region this year. Head Coach Josh Frick is entering his fifth season at Logan County and the Cougars have improved their win total every year of his tenure.

The Cougars will be led by senior Davis Switzer, who averaged 22 points and 8 rebounds last season.

Graves County returns once again for their 26th-straight Hoopfest appearance. The Eagles have participated in every Hoopfest since the event moved to Marshall County in 2001.

The Eagles were 15-13 last season, but return 97% of their scoring from last year, including their top seven scorers. They will be led by two-sport star Ty Cavette, who averaged over 14 points per game last season.

The Comets are coming off a 25-7 campaign and return their top three scorers from last year. Carlisle County is making their second-ever Hoopfest appearance, and first since 2003.

Legendary coach Brian O’Neill has been at the helm for Carlisle County for nearly 30 years and always has the Comets in contention in the 1st Region. Senior big man Wyatt Rickard averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds a season ago and has garnered interest from many D1 schools, including an offer from UT-Martin.

We are thrilled to welcome back Evangel Christian to our 2026 Hoopfest at Marshall County! The Eagles were one of the youngest teams in the state of Kentucky last year and still finished with 20 wins in the always difficult Sixth Region. They return their top four scorers from last season, all of whom averaged double figures.

Coach Larry Miller's squad will be anchored inside by 6'8" 2027 Pablo Molima, who averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game last season. Molima recently picked up an offer from Kent State after a strong weekend at the KABC Shootout.

The Mustangs will return to the Hoopfest for the eighth straight season. McCracken County is coming off a 28-4 season a year ago and looking to win the 1st Region Championship for the first time since 2023.

The Mustangs will be led by senior Garrett Miller and junior Aaron Adams, who each averaged double figure points last season. Adams recently picked up multiple D1 offers after a strong performance at the KABC Shootout last weekend.

Warren Central (KY) Dragons

We are excited to have Warren Central back again this year for our 2026 Hoopfest at Marshall County! The Dragons were 26-4 last season, including a 4th Region Championship and Sweet 16 appearance. Warren Central has won the 4th Region four of the last 5 seasons, including finishing 36-1 and winning the State Championship in 2023.

Head Coach William Unseld’s team will be led by rising senior Armani Byrd, who holds multiple D1 scholarship offers and is one of the most explosive athletes in the state!

McCallie (TN) Blue Tornado

McCallie will be making their return to the Hoopfest after a one year hiatus. Head Coach Kenneth White and the Blue Tornado will once again be one of the top teams in Tennessee.

McCallie will be lead by highly-ranked senior Ryan Wingard, who holds multiple high-major offers. However, the Blue Tornado will feature a roster with multiple other players with D1 scholarship offers.

Male (KY) Bulldogs

We are excited to have Male back at Hoopfest again this year! The Bulldogs are always one of the most talented teams in the state, and next season will be no different. Head Coach Tim Haworth is no stranger to our event, bringing both Male and Hopkinsville to the Hoopfest numerous times during his coaching career.

Juniors Jordan Mitchell and Trey Hillerich will provide an elite 1-2 punch. Both players are ranked in the national top-150 of the 2028 recruiting class. Expect the Bulldogs to challenge for the Region 7 title and state championship again this season.
