Luke has changed a lot in 5 years but his love of racing sure hasn’t!!!

Since Logan is out for a while, healing up , Luke jumped in his car last evening.

In recognition of the men and women who race their butts off each week at GVAT and may not place in the top 5 or did and didn't have an easy time getting there - this week we are giving a shout out to Luke Hess!

Welll the last night of speedweek definitely had its highs and lows. What a roller coaster ride tonight was for Luke and the Hess racing team. 75 cars signed in tonight at the Clyde. Luke qualified 11th in his flight putting him in the 4th starting position in his heat. He went 4th to 1st. That put Luke 4th in overall point to start the qualifiers, he started 6th in qualifier and advanced one position, good enough to transfer into A main. The 2L car started on the out position in row 7 (14th) and within half way made it up to the top 5. The car was so fast. Going into turn 1 & 2 Luke got ran into by car behind him spinning Luke out. The guy behind Luke had lost his brakes. We ended up finishing 16th. Heartbreaker for Luke he easily had a top 5 car or even a podium car..
Overall we are proud of what we accomplished tonight.

Luke transfers into his 2nd feature of the week! What a grueling week it has been, we have raced 5 of the 6 so far. We are proud of our driver! Cars been fast all week! Racing against 85-109 drivers a night is definitely a challenge. Off to Clyde Martin tomorrow to finish the week !
