I received this from Adam Fyall, Benton County, WA Parks Staff Member & it is with heavy heart I share it with you.

"I regret to inform you that longtime Benton County Park Board member Robin Emmingham passed-away on December 19 (cancer). He was 83 years old.

Hailing from Kellogg, Idaho, Robin was a Tri-Cities resident for 57 years. His career was as a teacher and school administrator in the Finley and Richland districts.

Robin joined the Park Board in October of 2013 and was our longest-tenured current member. As you know, he was a strong advocate for Two Rivers Park which he visited several times per week; and understood and was interested in all aspects of the parks system, from the macro to the micro levels.

Robin told me about his recent diagnosis earlier this fall. He was already a four-time cancer survivor dating back over 40 years. He was sober in his assessment of things to come yet still had plans and ideas for the parks, for travel, and beyond. Our last meeting was a walkaround at Two Rivers in late November on a quiet, warm morning discussing the shoreline improvements, restroom replacement, and reinvigorating the cypress tree project. Of course this also included debriefing the Mariners’ season and talking about the Seahawks, for which he was a season ticket holder and rarely missed a game.

Robin is survived by his wife Diane of 61 years and their two sons.

Adam"

Thanks to George Hager for special effort in arranging and conducting a Youth Smallbore Sporter Match match as a make-up event for our junior shooters who were participants in the 2026 Veterans Day Parade and were unable to attend the 2025 TCSA Smallbore Sporter Match on November 8. Due to illness and other conflicts only three shooters were able to participate in the makeup match, but all the participants and all of their responsible adults were very pleased with the opportunity. It was the first time that these shooters had fired in any three position match with repeater rifles. With 600 points possible in the event, Eli McNeal took first place with 532 8X using his R***r American .22 and Leupold variable scope. Liam McNeal scored 518 13X with his grandfather’s 1970’s vintage 10/22 and a variable Bushnell 3200 which was donated to the TCSA youth program by Mark Cammers. Drazen Brown took third place with 481 5X using a TCSA loaner 10/22 topped with the Redfield Widefield donated to the program by his uncle Bob Tucker and fitted with a sling donated by John Julian. Congratulations to the shooters and thanks for the donations that made the match successful. We hope to add Smallbore Sporter to the 2026 Safe Shooting Sports for Youth Agenda.

The last ARA match of the year was greeted with dense fog during practice but cleared enough by match time for decent although rainy shooting conditions. Ben Cook took top honors with match win and high score card. Congratulations Ben!

The smallbore benchrest style competition shooting that includes 5 disciplines (50/100 Dewar, Vintage, USBR, ARA and Mini-Palma concluded for the year. It was a crisp, cool morning with hardly any breeze but enough light fog moving slowly in and out to keep you guessing as to whether or not it was going to get worse, 7 shooters showed up for the last BR-50 match of the 2025 shooting year and with the fog almost gone, the first of a two card match had been fired. Second card was shot under sunny skies with little to no wind and the fog now retreated to the river. Ben Cook was match winner with a 487-14X and firing the club's first 250, Thank you Lord. Mike Bunch was second with a 480-8X and coming in third place was Glen Buxton with a 471-2X. Welcome Bob Birney to the "fellowship of the shoot" and hope to see more of him. ARA match this Thursday will round out the TCSA's 22lr BR shooting season. Thanks to all who participated and especially to Mike Bunch for the "behind the scenes" help, Its greatly appreciated
May your aim be sure and your shots be true

Ben Cook

Ladies & Gentlemen,

In regard to the CMP Rimfire Sporter match scheduled for the morning of 11/8, I want to offer my sincerest apologies for missing the event & for anytime you may have wasted. I had a chest cold getting better, but got worse overnight leading me to sleep through all three alarms.

Things seem better now and look forward to seeing the youth on Sunday 11/16 @ the SCR for their try at a Rimfire Sporter match.

V/R,
-gjh
