2021 Freemasons New Zealand Special Olympics National Summer Games – Ten Pin Bowling @ Sky City, Hamilton. Event – Doubles.
Event will start very soon! Event delayed due to venue opening late
Lane 18 only is being live streamed. From 10am Ian Mora & David Fowke (Whangarei 3); From 11:45 Tamati Matene & Gavin Hapeta (Marlborough 4). Stream will finish no later than 12:45 due to needing to shift to swimming for the afternoon.
Apologies for any issues that may arise during the stream. I am working alone and will try to rectify any issues that pop up when I can. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but please keep the comments positive

Following a 4-year cycle similar to the Olympics and Paralympics the National Summer Games is Special Olympics New Zealand’s largest national event and one of New Zealand’s largest multi-sport events.

Who enjoyed the Opening Ceremony today? 😊 I’m always amazed when NZ decends onto the host city - there are 1300 very excited athletes ready to go 👯‍♀️
What I discovered today was that the Te Awamutu team is the second largest swim team competing at the Nationals, that in itself is amazing but not surprising- it’s just what Te Awamutu likes to do right? 🙋‍♀️
Welcome to Stephen, our Team Support, the team gave him the opportunity to drive the van home today to test his skills, the team unanimously agreed that he had good van driving skills and now has another role of ‘chief van driver’, I might find a drivers hat for him 🤔 - good job Stephen 🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️ takes the load off me and our back seat drivers 🙊

Excitement is building for the Freemasons New Zealand Special Olympics National Summer Games – from 8-12 December.
Over 1400 athletes and coaches and hundreds of volunteers will be visiting Hamilton during the Games.
Be part of an amazing event, meet fantastic people and help us provide a great experience at the largest national event for Special Olympics athletes.

We still need volunteers, particularly to help with delivering sports events including Bocce, Swimming, Powerlifting, 10 Pin Bowling, Basketball and Athletics. No experience is necessary, and a fantastic time is guaranteed. The days when we will most need Volunteers are Saturday 10th December and Sunday 11th December.
