As Roosevelt looks forward to its 2nd season, we’re actively recruiting and looking to bring more talent to the strong developing core and culture.

Roosevelt offers academic awards to its student athletes. Our campus is located downtown Chicago over looking Lake Michigan. Our facilities offer everything a student athlete needs to develop inside and outside of the rink. Roosevelt offers a vast amount of undergraduate and graduate programs. Our home rink is at the Edge Ice Arena and sits 3,000 people.

The boys pulled out a big W tonight, 4-3 over Robert Morris PA. Freshmen Jake Herman opened the scoring for the Lakers in the first period, followed by goals from freshmen Jozef Martancik and Cade Swygert. Midway through the third period Gage McNeish got his first of year and a beauty at that being tonight game winner. McNeish’s game winner earned him the hard hat player of the game. The Lakers look to complete the sweep tomorrow in game two at 7:30 pm in Bensenville.

The Lakers are happy to welcome Junior forward Aj Bailey to the team this season. Bailey is a transfer from Waldorf University. His experience is helpful to the young Lakers team. He works hard every shift, plays great positionally and has a strong understanding of the game. Bailey can shut down top lines defensively, and also create opportunities offensively. Welcome to the team Sniper! 🌊

The Lakers are excited to welcome back forward/defenseman Senior Turner Cepuritis. Ceps is one of three players returning from the original Robert Morris program to help build and identify a new culture at Roosevelt. As our lone senior and his work ethic on and off the ice the boys voted named Ceps as one of our assistant Captians. Ceps is a consistent gritty two way player with a strong hockey Iq. Welcome back Ceps!!

The Lakers are excited to welcome back Junior forward/defenseman Frank Moore. Moore is only one of three players returning from the original Robert Morris program to help build and create a long lasting identifying culture at Roosevelt. With this, the boys voted and named Moore the first Laker Captain in program history. Being a key universal player on both sides of the puck is one of many things he brings to the Lakers line up, along with his work ethic and leadership on and off the ice. Welcome back Moorezy!!
