THIS WEEK at Catamount BMX!

We would LOVE to see some new volunteers participating in our events this week! Please let us know if you'd like to volunteer!

Our most needed positions are announcing, scoring, and corner marshalls. We are also more than happy to show people how to operate the gate and stage riders for racing. Currently Andre-Anne and Keegan are the only people who announce at Catamount. We all love Keegan's announcing but we also shouldn't have to rely on such a young racer to announce if our TO is unavailable. Please, if anyone out there is willing to announce, we would love to have you give it a shot.

Having multiple people know how to do multiple positions could help keep our schedule more consistent in the future. Currently if we have just 2 people unavailable we cannot run a race because there is nobody else on the local level to fill those positions.

Racing is ON for today, but due to a steady rain early this morning, we are pushing the schedule back 1 HOUR to allow the track to dry and to have some time for some track work.

Registration & Practice 12:45-1:45pm, racing begins at 2pm
Online registration will close at 1:30pm

DON'T FORGET we are racing TOMORROW, Sunday September 6th! One hour later than our usual Saturday times
Practice & Reg 11:45-12:45, racing begins at 1pm
$10 one bike, $15 two bikes, $5 striders!

If you are around today, we have Garlic Town, USA happening right in our backyard in downtown Bennington, definitely check it out 🧄

We will race SUNDAY this week due to key volunteers having other commitments on Saturday.

Looking ahead:
Weekend of 9/12: regular racing on Saturday 9/12
Weekend of 9/19: possibly racing Sunday 9/20 if we can confirm we have enough volunteers (Gold Cup Final weekend)
Weekend of 9/27: racing Sunday 9/28 due to NY State Championship on Saturday at Tri-City
