2026 HS Championships was a blast! 🏁 Massive shoutout to Sean and Ace, who both started mid-season last year and just crushed their second full season of racing.
From Sean learning basic skills to hitting championships twice, and Ace and Dad, Matt, joining us straight from the trailhead as a rider and coach—their dedication and progression has been incredible. Cheering them on at Champs is a coaching team’s dream! 📣 We love this sport and this amazing NICA community. ❤️

Our last team practice for the season, riding under the blue skies with the rolling hills of Benicia, Vallejo, Port Costa, Martinez and Crockett, and the glowing waters of the Carquinez Strait in the background! FUN FACT: The strait was formed by melting ice from the Sierra Nevada and seismic activity that created this draining floor valley to the Pacific Ocean. The strait is named after the Karkin people(los Carquines in Spanish) of the Ohlone indigenous peoples that once resided on both sides of the strait. The Carquinez and Benicia bridges now connect the communities on both sides of the strait that we ride as a loop called “Strait Circle”. We are blessed to be able to call this valley community our home and proudly “wear our hearts on our sleeves”! So if you see us in our jerseys, know that we are literally riding our hearts out! 🚵‍♀️😄 And that’s exactly what we’re doing this weekend at the 2026 Championships! Off to the Races! 😍❤️🏁

After each race weekend, the following Monday practice, we have a team retro and reflect on the past race weekend. What went well, what didn’t, and what could be better. It’s a practice we do to learn and put towards our next race’s training weeks. This one was a bittersweet one as it was our last race of the season, #4. The team was treated to because this one was a very special one; all of our racers this season qualified for the Championships! We’re looking forward to riding with the finest this weekend at the 2026 NorCal NICA Championships! 🏁🚵‍♀️ 🎉
