Yesterday Brian, Lucien, Pat and Randy got out for a few hours on ITS 81 and put out field markers and cleared a half dozen down trees.

On 25 Oct from 0900-1100 we are having an open house to show off our groomer barn, to show everything we have done this past summer.

Also, for those that want to help with trail work we will be meeting at 9 at the barn.

Members,

The Snow Gang was busy today, we did some tasks at the barn today plus prepped our shed to be moved one last time. Also had some spare time to get a few stakes in the ground. Thanks Pat, Austin and Randy.

We ended the day with our first meeting of the season. Well attended and some good food provided by Rina, big thanks to her.

We will have a trail work day, meeting at the barn for 9 on 11 Oct.

Sledders/Members,

We are 8 days out to our first meeting for the season on 4 Oct at the Benedicta Parish Hall, food at 4 and meeting at 430. Come see what we have planned for the season, hope to see everyone!

Also, we have half of our cash raffle tickets sold. Only 150 being sold for a $100 donation each. Prizes again this year will be $3000, $2000, $1500 and $1000. Drawing to held once all tickets are sold. If your interested in one contact the club or stop by the CITGO here in Sherman they have some also.

In addition get your memberships in for a chance at a Benedicta Snow Gang winter hat, the name will be drawn at our 1 November meeting.

Finally if you would like MSA Supper raffle tickets they are also at the CITGO for sale, $2 each or $6 for 10. If you received them in your membership package get them back to us by late November so we can get them for the MSA drawing in December. Remember half of the proceeds goes back to our club and there are some great prizes. If you would like a membership application reach out to us or go on our webpage and print one out.

Today the Snow Gang switched gears and didn’t work on our building. We are clearing a site for a life flight landing zone. It will be on ITS 83 above Whetstone Bridge and adjacent to Bolin Mattagamon Shin Pond Club’s trail also. Once complete will share the grid coordinates and it will be on the MSA Trails App, but will not be on the MSA paper map this year. As an added bonus the site does have cell coverage another reason why the location was selected.

Thanks to Pat, James and Randy on working on this new addition to the trails, hopefully it won’t be needed.

Get your renewal memberships in, the Snow Gang will draw from the current members that sent their’s in and draw a name at our November meeting to see who wins a Snow Gang winter hat.

UPDATE As of 1 Sep- All items are GONE! Thanks to Nate and Mike for your generous donations.

For anyone interested, the Snow Gang has 2 brush cutters and 2 chainsaws that we don’t use.

The club will take a donation for them, we are advertising these for people who follow us first. If no takers then we will put them on marketplace.

Today Austin, Pat, James and Randy did a lot of work at the groomer barn today. Austin got several welding jobs done on our equipment and the rest of us worked on electrical.
