Hey Baseball Fans! We are pleased to announce our 2nd annual Pitching Camp hosted by Justin Huckins @ Elevate Athletics. This camp is an excellent way to get ready and in-shape for your 2017 Spring Season. This year athletes ages 9-14 are eligible to participate (must be in 8th grade or below).

This years structure will be five 90-minute sessions consisting of: A dynamic warmup; a pitching/core specific workout; weekly drills; flat-ground and pitching-mound bullpens. Participants will be recorded pitching and will review video the following week. Class sizes will be 3-6 athletes.

A few strategies for participants:
*Please wear baseball pants, and don’t forget your glove or a source of hydration!

*It will benefit the athlete to attend all sessions as we will touch on many areas and become individually specific as the sessions progress. Our main focus will be body control in all facets of pitch delivery.

*Come in with a plan, and ask questions!

Sunday February 12th
Sunday February 19th
Sunday February 26th
Sunday March 5th
Sunday March 12th

Classes will begin around noon on Sundays, and will be announced weekly on Thursdays.
For example, based upon age & talent, participants would be sorted into the 12-130, 2-330 or 4-530 (6-730 if necessary).

Payment:
Cost for Camp is $150 for all five sessions, $100 for three sessions (you pick), and $40 for an individual session. Please make checks payable to Justin Huckins.

Hello,

OBA will be holding another clinic next Sunday, December 4th. We will be holding 2 pitching and hitting sessions, and 1 fielding session. The fielding session will focus on infield work. Similar to our last sessions, each will last 1 hour, and will be somewhere between 12PM & 6PM. The best part is these sessions are only $10 and have a max ratio of 1 coach per 3 athletes, with that we do cap the sessions so sign up quick by emailing us @ [email protected].

We will send out official times on Friday, Dec 2nd (if you are unavailable for a portion of the day please let us know so we may sort you accordingly).

2017 Spring Info

14U Head Coach - Justin Huckins
13U Head Coach - Bobby Evers

Assistants: Ricky Morton, EJ Aponte, Dalton Chambers

Schedule: Min 20-22 Games (playing longer in tournaments will give us more). Field practices will be mainly Saturday & Sunday as we have secured access to MVHS for the season, although we will look so secure fielduse for 1-2 days mid-week if available. We will introduce film and baseball theory on Friday evenings, with two workout sessions (In February 3-4 workouts).

Cost $1050 for both teams: That includes: almost 5 months of strength and conditioning workouts @ Elevate Athletics. Pants, belt, stirrups, hat, sweatshirt, 2 practice dri-fits.

As we continue to grow we are always looking at ways to improve. In the past we have kept 13-15 players, and without advancing far in tournaments, some players would get the short end of the stick. This year we are going with 11, maybe 12 players on each team. We believe this will be a very positive thing.

Hello,

First, thank you to all who were able to make it out Saturday! Knowing that there are other avenues around town we appreciate the opportunity to show you what we are able to provide. For those of you who were unable to attend, or if you know of others looking to play this spring, we will have a make-up session this Thursday 11/10 from 6:45-8:15 PM @ Elevate Athletics. If you are interested but cannot make this Thursday, we have tentatively scheduled mother make-up this Saturday, but please email [email protected].
We plan to send out our spring invites & roster this Saturday.
