The Big Lonely is ON! If you're not already following .big.lonely head over there and watch the stories!

12h into the race, our athletes are moving along quickly. (pictured) is at Mile 100. is a few positions and 6 miles ahead of Colton.

, who is relatively new to ultra gravel racing but is well known for winning a few years in a row, sits in 6th overall. is in 7th overall with right on his tail. Dan is leading the singlespeed category.

The highly experienced is in 5th overall and leading the women's race, staying stoked and still moving consistently as the day draws to a close.

Last year's winner, is pushing the pace at the front. He's about an hour ahead of his 2021 time, and unless he overcooks himself, he likely won't stop and sleep tonight. Last year, Ben slept for a couple of hours in a Prineville hotel before the long push to Pilot Butte and the finish. This year, his competition is stiff, with J.H., and all trading places as the leading 4 riders in the race.

Darkness is coming, and the Northwest Competitive Adventure athletes competing in the Big Lonely will soon see how truly lonely the Ochoco Mountains are at night.

We have a WHOPPING 8 TEAM RIDERS on the course this year racing .big.lonely 🤯🥹😭 we are excited ok?

No picking favorites but if all 8 riders can finish at the same time climbing pilot butte and holding hands that would be rad. But sketchy. So don’t actually do that.

In all seriousness we’re stoked to have such a strong representation on the field. Most should be rocking the green jersey so if you see us out there give us a shout!

In order of appearance:

Go team go! We’re so damn proud of the whole lot of ya.

Silk Road Mountain Race: Update

//

Day 2 of racing and is gradually recovering from food poisoning. Though fatigue from riding and hike-a-biking 223km including climbing over 4000m (13k+ feet) is setting in, his spirit seems to be lifting with each update on his story.

Seth did a large photo dump on his story (about 8 hours prior to the time of this post) from which we did a big screen grab, but we highly encourage you go to his profile and watch the story to get the full detail!

Last two slides are of the tracking app showing his location and the monstrous elevation he’s already climbed.

Go Seth Go 🔥

Olympic Peninsula Traverse FKT Attempt

//

Distance 186 mi
Vertical Gain 26,000 ft

Team member Stacey Lee () begins her FKT attempt of the beautiful and ever challenging Olympic Peninsula Traverse at 4:30AM tomorrow.

The Olympic Peninsula Traverse passes through a diversity of habitats and unique ecosystems, including a 40 mile stretch that she can expect tohave frequent encounters with both marine and terrestrial wildlife.

This section of the traverse includes long stretches of both sandy and rock beaches, slippery tide-pools, and steep overland trails over otherwise impassable headlands.

And that’s only 40 miles of the 186 total 😳

Stacey has packed over 30,000 calories to fuel this 186 mile attempt, which she hopes to finish in under 6 days!!

We wish you the best of luck and a very good time Stacey!

Grand depart of the Silk Road Mountain Race

//

NWCOMP team rider begins his official start to the in 3 hours!!

Starting in Osh & finish in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Seth will be embarking upon a mixed route featuring single and double track on gravel and old soviet roads that have long been forgotten and fallen into disrepair. ~1900 kilometres with 37,00m of climbing.

There will be very little tarmac.

Between the various points of hike a bike and the long stretches without resupply, Seth has his work cut out for him but we believe there’s nobody better for the job and we couldn’t be more excited to watch his dot move across the map!

Check the link in our bio to watch the race unfold. You can find Seth’s dot with the bib number 147 or by searching for his name: Seth Dubois

Team riders and swung by team sponsor in full kit to get some bike work done yesterday, when the multitalented put down the tools / picked up his camera to snap some shots of these two looking fresh!

Always a pleasure to spend time with Erich whether as a mechanic, a photographer, or a friend. Thanks man!

Big thanks to the maker of these kits

Go Hannah!

//

is currently racing throughout the Oregon Coast range for - follow along at the link in their bio!

Conditions are.. not great. A wet and wild storm system moved into the region shortly after the start of the race, drenching riders.

Hannah isn't dissuaded by a little rain, however, and is presently at mile 78, leading the women's race and 8th overall!

Go Hannah, go!

2022 racing season is underway!

//

Races are beginning to happen all over the northwest, and it’ll be hard to miss the bright colors of our team at these events. Here’s James at the start of the cold & wet Oregon Coast Gravel Epic. James raced a double-header of OCGE on Saturday and West Coast Gravel on Sunday. Solid work out there in some challenging conditions!
