Terra = Terra is the Latin name for Earth | Lab = Laboratory: a place equipped for experimental study in a science or for testing and analysis; a place providing opportunity for experimentation, observation, or practice in a field of study. In the case of TERRA LAB, the Deschutes National Forest (since the bulk of our team is based in beautiful Bend, Oregon) is our primary laboratory setting. We a
re a small but growing group of outdoors enthusiast; cyclists, runners, skiers, riders, climbers and athletes. Our mission is to embrace and celebrate life each day by playing in the rivers, mountains and woods near our homes. We push performance, test our products and encourage our like-minded peers to also stress our products to the limits in the interest of rapid iteration and constant evolution. Our "story" is simple and relatively humble. Our team, comprised of former and current competitive athletes is always on the lookout for tools and products that can improve our daily lives. By virtue of our proximity to world-class cycling, rivers, skiing, climbing, etc. we have a vast network of top athletes that also see gaps in many of the current items and products designed and built for an "active outdoor lifestyle" and our goal at TERRA LAB is to fill those gaps. We like to say it's just day 1 and that's why we take your input so seriously. Like any disciplined "scientist" we are always seeking to validate data and to empirically prove our hypotheses. We recognize that the more data points we can evaluate the better our TERRA LAB products will be in the long run and over time. With that said, we enlist YOU as a designated junior scientist of the TERRA LAB team. Push our products to the edge, then let us know how they performed. Wear our apparel items in extreme conditions and share your experiences (and data) with our team. We'll use your inputs to make the next iteration that much stronger, durable and functional. The beauty of our story is that only the first chapter has been written too. Where do we go now? Help us to help you get the most out of your relationship with our sacred Terra. We encourage you to click into your bindings or pedals, lace up your boots or shoes, chalk up your fingers or wax your boards and begin dreaming of what comes next. We'll be on the lookout for your notes and reports from a laboratory of your own
