We offer Private Lessons, Group Classes, Wedding Dance Lessons, Private Function Classes, Team-Building Classes, and Dance Floor Rental with or without Group Class Instruction at your event. We offer beginner through Advanced levels, Social through Competitive American, and International Ballroom Dance Instruction. enue off-site. Our journey began in 2001 as the Deschutes County Ballroom Dance Club. Travis, our founder, made the strategic decision to transition from a 'public studio' that offered drop-in group classes, lessons, and dances to a 'private studio'—operating by pre-registration only. This change was designed to better serve our new students, wedding lessons, and advanced-level dance training. Travis Kokkeler, DWTDS's Owner / Instructor, has been dancing and teaching since 1995. He was initially taught and trained through the Fred Astaire System. Travis Kokkeler, our Owner and Instructor, is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience. He has been dancing and teaching since 1995, originally trained through the Fred Astaire System. Travis has also earned his associate's dance director certification with high honors. Over his 29+ years in the field, he has performed and competed professionally both in and out of the United States. Travis's commitment to continuous improvement is evident in the numerous professional coaching and training classes he has taken with top-level ballroom and tango dance coaches.
