For my birthday you guys get to hear embarrassing story number two! 😂
It was my sixteenth birthday and my mom surprised me with a big party. Turning 16 is a bigger deal in our family/church because that’s when you can start dating! Anyways, we had a pool and were playing all sorts of fun games. Have you ever played ultimate spoons with the spoons being at the bottom of the pool? So fun! Just be sure to have waterproof cards😉 After that we played a game in the pool involving a greased watermelon. We split into two teams and each tried to get the watermelon to our side. Has anyone else played this before? So crazy and fun! Although I have a vague memory of someone getting hit in the face with a watermelon, sorry Alyssa. 😬
After that we were all jumping on the trampoline and as I was stepping of the trampoline my foot slipped (thanks to the fact we were all covered in Vaseline from the watermelon game) and I landed on the concrete face first into the cement. The fall broke my nose. I knew right away. One because it was crooked. And two anyone that knows me knows that I have a scrunchy nosed smile. I had thought the whole event was so funny and started laughing but every time I did my nose reminded me to stop. So.....just imagine me; giggle giggle ouch giggle ouch 😂 🤦🏼♀️
So we had to end my party early and I spent the rest of my birthday in the ER. From which i learned I would need surgery to fix my broken nose and then would be given a nose cast! Just in time to start dating 😉😂 I got my loved ones to sign it and wore it for maybe a month? Luckily I got it off just in time to go to EFY (a big overnight youth trip) but I did have an awful tan line from the cast. 😂 Just a strip of super white skin on my nose and then a great tan everywhere else! So hot! 💁🏼♀️ 😂 And there you have it the grand story of how I officially made my entrance into the dating world! 😂
