Because there’s no place we’d rather be on a Saturday than soaking up the weekend at the SFYC!

Are you getting out in the water or staying shoreside this weekend?

Whether you’re a seasoned racer or new to the sport, the Club Series offers a fun and welcoming way to get on the water. As Director Cam Tuttle and Member Larry Stoehr share, it’s the perfect opportunity to build your skills, enjoy friendly competition and connect with fellow sailors.

Join Friday night racing at C*C, get comfortable on the RS21s, take advantage of coaching from Adam and then bring your skills to the Club Series. With no entry fee and a focus on fun, it’s a great way to get involved.

The final Club Series event is coming up: Wosser Cup on September 12.

Earlier this year, Catherine Breed of Swim California joined us for our Speaker Series to share the story of her incredible open-water swimming journey.

Now, we’re thrilled to welcome Catherine back to the Club as she continues her journey—this time as a welcomed stop along the way. Wishing her smooth seas and strong strokes ahead! 🌊🏊‍♀️

Shout out to Matthew Sessions - Captain for Swim California.

Team SFYC at the Corinthian Cup ⛵️

Saturday brought pleasant conditions for racing, but with light winds, racing was called off around 1:00 p.m. The day ended with Annapolis leading 2–1 in the 3v3 team racing format after a series of tight races filled with lead changes and close competition.

Today, racing shifts to match racing, with an earlier 10:00 a.m. start to maximize races in the first-to-11 format. The forecast calls for 10+ knots, gusts into the high teens and building winds throughout the day — with rain arriving around the start.

We’re ready for an exciting day on the water!

Good luck, SFYC
