“Durability testing” might be a generous way to describe what’s happening here. 😂

Sometimes during the Kydex pressing process, the mold decides it likes its new home a little too much.

That’s when we move on to the highly technical next step:

Gentle. Coaxing. 🔨

Okay… maybe “gentle” is doing some heavy lifting.

The good news? The Kydex can take it. And once we finally convince everything to separate, it’s back to trimming, finishing, assembling and getting that holster ready to do what it was actually built for.

Not every range setup needs the same level of retention.

That’s exactly why we build the ARES in both Open-Top and Duty Level 2 configurations.

The ARES Open-Top is built for shooters who prioritize fast, clean access to the firearm. Think competition, training, range use, and shooters like IDPA competitors where speed matters and active retention may not be the primary concern.

The ARES Duty Level 2 takes that same multi-mount OWB platform and adds an active Speedlock Hood for another layer of security. When you’re running, moving, training hard, working from a battle belt, or simply want more confidence that your sidearm is staying where it belongs, Level 2 retention starts to make a lot more sense. The hood is designed to drive forward when the release is activated during a natural draw stroke and master grip.

Both ARES configurations can be set up with G-CODE RTI mounting hardware, Safariland QLS hardware, or direct-mounted to a UBL Mid-Ride depending on how you build your belt setup. They also come optics-ready, suppressor-sight compatible, and open-bottom for threaded barrels.
