What a fun day of Velocity CTX softball! Since our showcase this weekend was cancelled we decided to scrimmage ourselves and have a team meal at our practice field.

We even invited some of our Velocity CTX alum, to join us on the field. The kids had a great time and we had a great turn out.

Thanks to the alums who came out: Zy’ava Lane (Dillard University), Loryn Wolf (Wayland Baptist), Grecia Bazaldua (Huston-Tillotson), HJ Holder (Huston-Tillotson), Kiya, & Hailey.

****Signing Day****

Yesterday, I had the honor to attend another college signing for one of student athletes, Kiana Jordin.

Kiana is graduating this week from Austin Bowie on Thursday and Tuesday she held her signing day for her commitment to continue her softball and athletic career by attending Penn State - Scranton. The coaching staff is getting a great kid and student athlete.

Congratulations Kiana! Can’t wait to see your accomplishments and success!

Velocity CTX 18u traveled west to Abilene this weekend at a round robin showcase at ACU! We were a little shorthanded with half the team out for various reasons. Reached out to our Velocity Fastpitch CTX 14u team and a couple of ABSA friends to complete the roster. These kids competed well finishing 3-1. They showed a ton of grit and never quit. Great job kids!

Thanks to ACU Coach Jo for hosting & player Stevie Knight for joining the team in the dugout for the final game.

Velocity CTX also wants to wish the ACU Wildcats luck in their upcoming Fall and Spring seasons! Go Wildcats!
