Every two years we are lucky enough to help some of the most talented scientists in their field do a study on Lake Hartwell for the consumption advisory. Sampling sediment, water quality testing, and actual fish harvests are what’s in store for the next two weeks. It’s a huge swap up from the normal charter trips and is always super informative.

Another fishing season is officially in the books!

What an unbelievable year of fishing on Lake Hartwell! The lake fished as good as I’ve seen it fish in the last ten years no doubt. With continued high stocking numbers and some help for Mother Nature the future looks bright on the big pond.

I can’t thank all the great customers that put their trust in me to show them a great time in the outdoors enough! I feel as much appreciation for every person who calls and books a day with me, as I did the very first time someone called. I hope that never fades!

You’ll find me at Toney Creek Plantation chasing feathered critters for the next few months. I’m booking trips for next season as we speak so get with me soon to lock in a trip for the 2026 season!

Fishing has been phenomenal, even with this insane heat wave we’ve been under. Slab hybrids have been the bulk of what we’re seeing in the past few weeks. With several double digit hybrids being caught each week. I don’t remember seeing Hartwell produce so many large hybrids possibly ever! I only have a handful of days left available for this season. Nice change of pace running into some quailty fish during this low pressure system we’ve had this week. The Minn Kota Raptors have been absolutely phenomenal all week helping us fish shallow during the herring spawn! With all the grass and muck that comes with fishing shallow, it was a task to get the Sea Ox back shined up and ready for the trips this coming week!
