Take a step back in time with our free historic walking tour at Oakwood Cemetery from 10am-noon Saturday, September 12, 2026! Learn about Beloit's past and the famous figures laid to rest here, guided by local historians John Kalkirtz and John Sebaka. Please, no pets!

The playgrounds at Merrill and Field parks are getting upgraded this year! The existing playground equipment is being removed soon and new playgrounds will be installed starting the week of September 21. We anticipate the new playgrounds to be ready for play in early October.

• Week of September 7: Field Park, 260 W. Grand Ave., playground will be removed.
• Week of September 14: Merrill Park, 950 Fifth St., playground will be removed.

The playground design was determined through community feedback and features bright, interactive play features with a shade structure.

We have made the difficult decision to lock the restrooms at Turtle Creek Park. Despite our best efforts to provide clean and safe facilities, we have had ongoing issues with misuse of the restrooms this season.

The bathrooms will be unlocked when the shelter is rented.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as our staff has worked hard all summer to maintain and clean restrooms at all city parks.

Thank you to our lifeguards, pool managers, concession staff, and maintenance team for an amazing pool season. While the pool is now closed until next year, we are thankful for everyone who made this season a success!

We served 85 kids with swimming lessons and 8,788 swimmers in 2026. See you next summer! 💙

Krueger Pool will be closed for the remainder of the day.

There’s just a few days left to swim at Krueger Pool, 1700 Hackett St. The pool will officially close for the 2026 season on Sunday, August 23.

Seasonal staff members leave each summer for college move-in or high school sports. Krueger Pool previously has closed around August 15, but over the past few years the city has been able to extend the closing a week later.
