What a fantastic day we had yesterday to wrap up our summer camps for 2026! 👊🏼 Our largest camp group of the summer definitely brought the energy!!

We are ONE WEEK AWAY from our FINAL KUNG-FU CAMP of the summer! 👊🏼 This past Monday was our Eight Animal Olympics Camp and it was AWESOME! Here’s just a few highlights from some of our challenges on Monday.

I am beyond proud of this team! 👊🏼 We left the Mid Summer Classic Tournament with 10 first place medals🥇 and 2 third place medals🥉 against a lot of tough competition! More so than the wins, I am proud of the way this team carried themselves, supported each other (win or not), and represented Eight Animal. Plenty more pictures and videos to come! Stay tuned…

Today’s Kung-Fu Camp was a BLAST!!! 🤩
We did relay races, obstacle courses, dodgeball, freeze tag, Santa Claus melon tasting (highly recommend), Musical Mats, shield jumping, shield kicking, puzzles, and of course kung-fu! We got outside for a little while in the morning and enjoyed the air conditioned studio for the rest of the afternoon. Great day and looking forward to next week’s “Game Day” camp! 👊🏼

Congratulations to our third test team from this past week, Richard and Nick! 👊🏼 After a year’s worth of hard work and dedication to improving, Richard earned his yellow belt (within the same week that his daughter earned her yellow belt as well!) Nick, our first ever adult kung-fu student, earned his purple belt. Both were challenged during this test and stepped up to said challenge. Their promotions are well deserved!

Congratulations to Eight Animal’s 6 newest yellow belts 🟡 and 4 newest orange belts! 🟠 Sofia, Kaitlyn, Layla, Kaoru, Dante, Taylan, Jocelyn, Ellis, Rahul, and Kimi all dominated their test last Friday and were deservedly promoted to their next rank. We are very proud of this team’s efforts and accomplishments! 👊🏼 Keep up the great work everyone!

Congratulations to Eight Animal Martial Arts’ FIRST EVER BLUE BELTS (Cadence, Atticus, Adaline, and Hazelgrey) as well as our newest purple belts (Linden and Marton)!!! 👊🏼
I hope that this team is as proud of themselves as I am of them. The road to this point has not been easy, but this team continues to persevere, continues to work hard, and continues to have lots of fun while doing it! 💪🏼😁
I care deeply about all of our students and hope for everyone to become the best version of themselves while training at Eight Animal. Those who stick with their training long term, reap the benefits. Our four new blue belts started training with me back in January 2024, in a church basement, before our Belmont studio even existed. Our new purple belts started training shortly after we opened our studio. It’s hard for me to express in words what this team means to me, but in my best attempt, I will say that this team feels like family to me. All 6 of these kids have been a part of setting the expectations at Eight Animal and are turning into fantastic martial artists and fantastic human beings. I again, cannot stress how proud I am of this team and I can’t wait to continue this journey with you all!

Today was a very special Saturday here at Eight Animal Martial Arts! We had the pleasure of welcoming Sifu Steve from in Biddeford, Maine to our studio to train with our adult fitness kickboxing crew as well as all of our kids/teen classes.
Sifu Steve has been a mentor and friend of mine for a looonnngggg time. We trained and taught together at the Michael Macaris Kung-Fu Academy in Billerica for many, many years before both opening schools of our own.
Having Sifu Steve on our mats today, for me, felt like old times and was a blast! For our students, it was a great opportunity to learn kung-fu through a different lens and get to know a fantastic martial artist and human being.
Side note: our team looked fantastic all week during classes! Keep up the great work everyone! 👊🏼

Our white belt group was our largest test group this past Friday 🥋 15 hardworking students came in as white belts and left as yellow belts after crushing their first ever ranking test! 🎉 Congratulations to Ulee, Zorvon, Cali, Rosie, Tycho, Sophia, Dylan, June, Sophia, Seraphina, Gus, Nat, Bianca, Ava, and Ana👊🏼 The future of Eight Animal looks bright with this team on the rise ☀️
