🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Belmont Cross Country Update

Belmont XC had another strong showing early Saturday morning at Mooreville High School. Every single one of our runners set a new personal record (PR) on what is known as one of the coolest—but toughest—courses we’ll face all season. This track is a true test of cross country grit, and our athletes rose to the challenge.

Now, with a little time before our next meet, the team will focus on practice and sharpening up to keep pushing those times down even further.

✨ Highlights from the Junior High Races
• Callie Higginbottom placed 2nd out of 96 runners (Classes 1A–7A). She continues to grow stronger and push herself every week.
• Braxton Holcomb finished 8th out of 92 runners (Classes 1A–7A). Even with a strong finish, he left hungry for more—driven by his desire to win. That determination will no doubt carry him to the top before season’s end.

We are proud of every runner who competed today and can’t wait to see what’s next for this group! ❤️🖤

XC started out fall break with a great run at New Site. Both our boys and girls did awesome! We had some new PRs, and Kiersli Deatherage placed 4th in the girls’ varsity 5k! We are so proud of her and our teams!

If your child has not completed their DragonFly Accounts, please come to the school Thursday night. Your athlete will not be allowed to participate in their sports without a completed DragonFly.
