Two 190-pound animals. One unforgettable run.

Jack Weber and Jason Martin stepped onto the biggest stage as State Qualifiers and represented with pride. Both battled through the toughest competition in the state and each earned a hard-fought win at the State Tournament. Proof of their grit, preparation, and heart.

Jason Martin, after coming off a County Championship, finished 7th in the state and earned All-State honors.

Nothing was given. Everything was earned.

These guys represent the standard of Mepham Wrestling.

Respect the grind. Appreciate the sacrifice. Celebrate the accomplishment.

Jason Martin etched his name into Mepham wrestling history by capturing the Nassau County Championship at 190 pounds. Competing at Hofstra University, Jason defeated Farmingdale's Josh K**a in the county finals to claim the title. The victory carried extra meaning. K**a had defeated Jason last season, making this year's win a full-circle moment of growth and determination.

Through relentless work, discipline, and belief in himself, Jason turned last vear's results into this year's triumph. His championship performance is a testament to resilience and the standard of Mepham wrestling. 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

The Mepham Pirates wrestled with heart and arit at the 2026 Nassau County Wrestling Championships hosted at Hofstra University's David S. Mack Center. Competing against the top talent across the county, the Pirates showcased resilience and skill throughout the weekend, earning four All-County place finishers including a County Champion and a team finish of 7th place! Every match was a testament to their preparation on the mat, making it a memorable weekend!

- Paulie Genovese # 4th
- Jack Weber 3rd. STATE QUALIFIER (True 2nd) - Jason Martin CHAMPION! STATE QUALIFIER (Most Outstanding Wrestler)

The Mepham Wrestling Team made a statement at the 2026 Nassau County Championship Qualifier at Hewlett High School. The Pirates were able to advance 13 guaranteed wrestlers to the county tournament next weekend at Hofstra University. We were also able to secure 2 potential wild card spots.

Mepham completed the tournament with 8 finalists 4 champions, and 16 top 6 place finishers. We look forward to putting out hard work to good use at Hofstra next weekend.
