SUPER proud of our Captain Anthony for heading to Bridgewater State University for the Special Olympics swim qualifiers today! Anthony has participated in sports in Bellingham and the surrounding communities for years. Besides playing baseball and basketball with the Challenger programs, he plays for Bellingham, MA Public Schools Unified Basketball team and skis and swims for the Special Olympics! This guy is such a go-getter and we are so proud of him! 💪🫶🎉

So proud of our players at our Fall Sports Awards Night! Congrats to all of our players for receiving their letters and pins, and for having such an amazing season. 🔥

Big congratulations to our Blackhawk award winner, Conor Reilly! We are proud of you and thank you for leading this team! 👏👏👏

Here is the speech Coach Kerry shared at the ceremony:

Before I talk about our amazing season I want to give a shout out to our assistant coaches Maddy Ferreira, Courtney Lindeman, both alums from Bellingham High, and Kate Chaber. Without their support we would have had a very different 2025 season. And what a season we had!

We started the season strong beating Milford 60 to 40 and finished with only one loss in our regular season. Our last game of the year was at our Jamboree against Holliston where we finished with the last win of the year, 30-18. I am extremely proud of our team as they all have not just become better ball players, but also better teammates and friends.

I may be the coach, but we have a very collaborative team and being able to showcase our players' leadership skills has always been our strong suit which is why we've always held a winning record. 👊

A shout out to our seniors Evan Biello, and captains Conor Reilly, Bernie Pierce, Jayden Lingaitis, and Anthony D'Asti, who all took their roles very seriously and came to be a solid group we could count on to help lead the team.

Monday, Nov. 10 marks our last games of the season with our Jamboree in Ashland! Eight schools gather, and we will play two shortened games - one against Ashland and the second against Holliston. Ceremony starts at 3:30, games to follow. Let's go Hawks! 🦅🖤🤍

The BHS Best Buddies program is hosting a bake sale fundraiser on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at our Senior Night home game at 3:30pm. If you would like to donate food or drinks, you can sign up here- https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0848A5AF2DA1F5C07-60088594-bake.

Items can be brought to the athletic lobby by 3pm, to the game, or dropped off to Ms. Cadin's room by your students on Tuesday.

They will also have a bin for people to donate food for local families in need. If you donate an item for families in need, you will receive a treat FOR FREE!

And of course stay for the game, cheer on the Unified Basketball Team and their seniors, and purchase some snacks!
