Today at 5:30 PM (PST) on my Running and Racing show on KMRE 88.3 FM I will have the honor of talking to New York Marathon winner Rod Dixon. Rod is a Olympic champion and CEO of Rod Dixon's KiDSMARATHON running and nutrition program. Rod is a wonderful speaker and I have interviewed him before. Rod also inspired me to start running way back in the early 80's. The show will also be live on your Tunein app, OnDemand and other fine webstreaming platform.

Happy Global Running Day!

More than 50 years ago, Jeff Galloway set out with a simple mission: make running more welcoming, more enjoyable, and more accessible for everyone.

He believed the road was wide enough for every type of runner—fast runners, slow runners, walkers, beginners, marathoners, comeback stories, and people who never thought they could call themselves runners at all.

That belief helped create a global community built on encouragement, support, and the idea that everyone is an athlete.

Today, we celebrate not just running, but the friendships, confidence, health, and life-changing journeys that come from putting one foot in front of the other.

Ran the Fun with The Fuzz 5K Saturday in Bellingham. I thought about how important running is to me and at the age of 74 I will run till I can't. Also thinking of my running friends heading for the starting line in Hopkinton, MA Monday for The 130th anniversary of The Boston Marathon.
