You're invited to come in, cool down, relax, and hydrate in a safe and welcoming environment. Over the past 150 years, the YMCA of Greater Seattle has been proud to lift up those leaders and their work in community. This year, we are honored to recognize King County Executive Girmay Zahilay and Attorney and First Lady of King County Joyce Bruce Zahilay with the 2026 Judge Charles V. and Lazelle Johnson Excellence in Social Justice Award at our Celebrating Community Changemakers 150th Anniversary Gala.

As public servants, Executive Zahilay and Attorney Bruce Zahilay have dedicated their careers to expanding opportunity, advancing equity and justice for all, and helping build a more inclusive future for our region. Together, they exemplify the spirit of this award through their commitment to service and their belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.
