There’s a kind of strength we see every day in our studio that doesn’t always get named. It’s in the early mornings carved out before anyone else wakes up, the decision to show up even when energy is low, and the moments you find your way back to yourself in the middle of a full life. So many of the mothers in our community move through their days holding more than we can see, and make space for themselves within it.

This Mother’s Day, we’re thinking about the care you give—without hesitation—and the strength it takes to keep showing up in all the ways you do. The way you model presence, resilience, and self-trust (without saying a word).

Meet Abby Smayda, owner of

“I didn’t walk into barre3 looking to change my life. I just needed something that felt good.”

At the time, Abby was navigating a season that felt full in all the ways that can wear you down—balancing work, life, and the constant pressure to keep everything moving forward.

What she found inside the studio wasn’t just a workout. It was a different way of being in her body. It was one that asked her to listen more closely, to let go of perfection, and to trust that small, consistent choices could create real change.

That shift didn’t happen all at once. It built slowly, class by class, until barre3 became something she didn’t just turn to, but something she wanted to share by becoming a studio owner.
