Athena Arms

Athena Arms was started as an effort to uphold one important constitutional principle - that every American has the right to defend themselves. In the hands of law abiding people, fi****ms stop countless acts of violence and crime throughout the nation every day. We now proudly play a part in helping to keep our fellow Nebraskans safe.

In 2012, while stateside between deployments, Athena’s founder traveled from his home state of Nebraska to Wisconsin to complete the very first Certified Instructor training course held by the United States Concealed Carry Association. At that time, the USCCA was a nascent instruction-centric company that boldly hit the scene with game changing training materials, outpacing anything else available.

Athena Arms began under the name of Nebraska Personal Defense (NPD). Once all the legal paperwork was in place in November of 2013, starting with bold ambitions and humble resources, NPD held concealed carry classes out of the founder’s living room, with the help of Reese Stanley, a fellow active duty Air Force member. The quality instruction and personable approach provided by this team led to NPD eventually becoming the single largest provider of Nebraska Concealed Handgun Permit training in the State.

To date, more than five thousand Nebraska residents and military members stationed here have received their permits with the help of NPD.
