Newport High School Athletic Hall of Fame Many of our Newport High School Athletes went on to play college sports; some played professional sports; some continued as Coaches or Officials.

Newport High School has long been known for its rich sports tradition. The long history of the sports program has a huge list of players and coaches. Many of Newport's athletes went on to play college sports; some played professional sports; and many went on to succeed in the professional world.

Congrats to all of the 32 inducted into the Hall of Fame last Wednesday. This is just a little slideshow in honor of two of my very good & lifelong friends. Be**er Schlosser & Jimmy Cutter. Congratulations guys & am glad that I was there to see you compete in these sports, almost 40 years ago, as well as seeing you honored as one of the first inductees into the NHS Hall of Fame. Proud of you both & very proud to call you friends !!

This group consisted of notable athletes, coaches, support staff, and family members representing those who could not be present. Congratulations to the inductees and to their families.
